DHQ PRESS RELEASE TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI SUCCESSFULLY REPEL TERRORIST ATTACK IN BENISHEIKH In continuation of the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s (AFN) counter terrorism efforts, troops of the 29 Task Force Brigade in Operation HADIN KAI came under a coordinated terrorist attack on their location at the Brigade Headquarters in Benisheikh, Borno State. The attack occurred at approximately 0030hrs (12:30am) on Thursday, 9 April 2026, as insurgents attempted to breach the defensive perimeter of the military installation. However, the troops, led by the Commander 29 Brigade, Brigadier General Oseni Braimah, responded with exceptional courage, professionalism, and superior firepower. In a well-coordinated counteraction, the insurgents were decisively engaged and forced to retreat in disarray, abandoning their mission and leaving behind traces of their failed assault. This attack is a clear indication of the desperation of terrorist elements who, having suffered significant losses in recent operations, continue to resort to futile and ill-fated offensives against well-defended military positions. The swift and decisive response by troops underscores the high level of combat readiness, resilience, and operational effectiveness of Operation HADIN KAI in safeguarding critical locations and maintaining pressure on terrorist groups across the North-East theatre. Regrettably, the encounter resulted in the loss of a few brave and gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede, honours their heroism, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the defence of the nation. Their courage will forever remain a source of pride and inspiration to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the entire nation. The High Command extends its deepest condolences to their families and loved ones. In line with established military tradition and respect for the fallen, the general public and media are kindly requested to allow the Armed Forces to formally notify the next of kin before the release of further details. The public is also urged to disregard misinformation, sensational reports, and unverified content circulating across social media platforms, as these undermine ongoing operations and national security efforts. The Armed Forces of Nigeria, in collaboration with other security agencies and stakeholders, remain resolute and undeterred in the ongoing fight against terrorism and insurgency. Additional clearance and exploitation operations are ongoing in the general area to track and neutralize fleeing insurgents, as well as to deny them any opportunity to regroup. The Chief of Defence Staff, commends the bravery, discipline, and steadfastness of the troops, whose sacrifices continue to ensure the safety, stability, and sovereignty of Nigeria. Their dedication in one of the most challenging operational environments reaffirms the Armed Forces’ commitment to restoring lasting peace in the North-East and across the country. The general public is encouraged to continue supporting the Armed Forces through timely and credible information that can aid ongoing operations. Citizens are urged to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding as security forces sustain momentum in ongoing operations. Further updates will be provided as necessary. I Risked My Life for a Country That Can’t Pay Me — Who Stole Our RCA? I once saw a document in my camp stating that soldiers on operations are entitled to ₦5,000 per day as RCA. I was only getting ₦45,000 a month. Who pocketed the rest? No soldier has ever asked that question. I risked my life for a country that neither values it nor pays me fairly, all in the name of selfless service. Yet, the politicians who claim to lead us can’t even show the same commitment. In Nigeria, the military has been turned into a tool of mental and civil slavery, where soldiers bear the burden of risks, stress, and injustice. True professionalism demands fairness, accountability, and genuine care for those on the frontlines.

This is a beautiful rubbish called Public Service Announcement. Is it today Oil Bunkering and Oil Theft started in Port Harcourt? There's a whole documentary on it on how the trans-forcados line carrying the crude oil is being tapped across different points in the Niger Delta. If you guys want to detain and keep Mr. @fisayosoyombo in your illegal prison, do so and say it with your check and stop dancing round the corners @HQNigerianArmy .

NIGERIAN ARMY CLARIFIES ALLEGED DETENTION OF JOURNALIST IN PORT HARCOURT The Headquarters, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, has expressed concern over allegations circulating on social media that it detained an investigative journalist in Port Harcourt. While the Division does not typically engage with the purveyors of falsehoods, it is necessary to set the record straight. As part of its intensified operations against illegal oil bunkering, the 6 Division Nigerian Army has recorded significant successes. Recent intelligence uncovered the activities of a notorious gang involved in pipeline vandalism and illegal oil connections in the region. In a carefully planned operation, troops tracked the suspects to an illegal oil bunkering site. During the operation, multiple arrests were made, including that of Mr Fisayo Soyombo, who was found at the scene. The suspects, including Mr Soyombo, are currently undergoing preliminary investigations to determine their level of involvement in the illegal activities. His arrest is directly linked to the ongoing anti-oil theft operations in the region, and any claims suggesting otherwise are baseless. The Division strongly urges media outlets to verify the accuracy of their reports before disseminating information to the public. The 6 Division Nigerian Army remains committed to combating criminal activities, particularly oil theft, to ensure the protection of national resources and increased oil and gas production in the region. The Nigerian Army assures the public of its dedication to upholding security and welcomes constructive engagements to foster understanding and transparency. Is Nigeria's 'Economy In Shambles' As Singer, Davido, Claimed? I beg to disagree with singer Davido that Nigeria's 'economy is in shambles'. If our economy is in shambles, how was it possible for Wizkid's album, Morayo, to record 12.12 million streams on its inaugural day of release on Spotify Nigeria, which made the album the biggest-selling album on a streaming platform in Nigeria's history for the first day. Please fact-check me: Streaming music is purchased with disposable income. People do not have disposable income in an economy in shambles, not to mention breaking streaming records, especially on Spotify, where the average streaming cost is $10.99 monthly. How many singers have broken streaming records in Venezuela or Argentina? Those are economies that could be said to be in shambles, not Nigeria. Perhaps if Davido had built a track record of showing more commitment to Nigeria, he, like Wizkid, would have broken streaming records on Spotify Nigeria. I urge Davido to learn from Rihanna, who never talks down on her country and instead uses her celebrity to promote Barbados and project her positively to the world. Which is why Rihanna was named a national hero and cultural ambassador for Barbados in 2018. David Adeleke displayed ignorance and a lack of patriotism with that statement on a globally renowned podcast like The Big Homies House. Even worse is that he said "We do not have the best leader, that is a fact." It is rather disappointing for a young man whose uncle is a governor and should, therefore, know better. Even worse, he said that to a foreign audience in a foreign country. Davido may have US citizenship, but that does not mean he should de-market Nigeria. The reforms in Nigeria were necessary to stop wastage, such as the $1.5 billion used to defend the Naira monthly, the $15 billion expended on fuel subsidy annually, and the wanton importation of products that we could manufacture in Nigeria by opportunistic importers. And the reforms are working. Nigeria has had four uninterrupted consecutive quarters of trade surpluses for the first time ever, meaning that we now export more than we import. Nigeria has achieved a new record in its balance of trade, with an unprecedented ₦14.07 trillion trade surplus by half year 2024. On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Nigerian Stock Exchange crossed 104,562.06 All Shares Index, a 39.84% increase year-to-date, making it the second-best performing exchange in Africa. The reforms have come with some short-term challenges, which are understandable. Nevertheless, steps have been taken to cushion their effect on Nigerians and raise their purchasing power, including the increase of the minimum wage by 140% from ₦30,000 to ₦70,000, which is probably why our youths had the power to help Wizkid break streaming records. Student loans have also been introduced for both students of federal and state-owned tertiary institutions for the first time in Nigeria's history, even as conditional cash transfers have been paid and are still being paid to the poorest of the poor in Nigeria. And it may be that his personal experience in Osun State has made Davido take such a position. After all, Osun State, under the dancing Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was one of the last states to increase their minimum wage to match up with the Federal Government's new minimum wage, despite receiving 65% more federal allocation under the Tinubu government. If that is the case, then Davido may want to specify that Osun's local economy is in shambles, not Nigeria's. Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. My wife had been in labour for 10 hours when I was informed that she was fully dilated but the baby wasn't descending because of CPD (Cervicopelvic Disproportion) so we needed an emergency section and they needed my consent and hers. We both gave it. At this time our son was getting tachycardia. My wife was placed on oxygen and wheeled to the theatre. The reg then wrote a list for me with some items to buy, surgical gowns and drapes. I asked where I could buy them, this was about 3am. I asked him where I could get them, he said he didn't know. Ah. I asked him if they had what to work with until I could buy them seeing that it was an emergency. He said they didn't. And I knew he was being truthful. This is the hospital I also work in. Ahhhhhh. A nurse gave me the number of the person who supplies them, he said I should call him. At 3am. I went out of the ward. I was still wearing my scrubs as I was at work the day before and hadn't gone home because my wife was in labour for our first child. I started looking for surgical gowns and drapes. It was 3:30am I had friends in the theatre who were surgeons so I guessed they could have some spare ones. I went looking, I couldn't find any. All the medical stores in the hospital didn't even have sterile gloves that night. I mean every one. It was like there was a horror movie. It was getting to 4am. I called the number given me maybe a thousand and fifteen times, he didn't pick. Of course it was 4am. I called my parents in far away Calabar. Those ones didn't sleep, their second grandson was coming but they were awake praying. I intimated them on the state of things and didn't know when my voice began to break. I broke down. My wife was on oxygen, my baby was getting distressed, we had 9 months to plan, and see where we are at the last minute. It was 4am. I called my friend @drjoshagunbiade, I was crying loudly this time, he was in far away Jos. I need him to pray for us. He was among the other persons I could be vulnerable with. The doctors had called me to ask if I had gotten the materials because they were waiting for me. I told them I hadn't. Then the supplier called. For some reason he had woken up and realised I had been trying to reach him. When we spoke all I could was; "My wife is in labour, I need drapes and gowns". He assured me that he would be there and told me where to wait for him. I went there, all I could say was "no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly" amidst strong crying and tears. I think I waited for what seemed like another 9 months before the supplier came. I gave him all my money, didn't bother to wait and collect change because what I had on me was more than what he said the cost of the materials was; then I started running up, THE DOCTOR WAS WAITING AT THE ENTRANCE FOR ME. After I handed over the materials I started pacing to and fro the corridor. Then at about 5am I heard this sound 👇🏽

Authorities should delve into this case URGENTLY 🙏 NNAMDI CHIDERA CRIES FOR JUSTICE. HIS LEFT KIDNEY HARVESTED ILLEGALLY. Nnamdi Chidera, 15, is the son of Mr. Nnamdi Francis of Ekoyi Iheaka Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area Enugu state. Sometime in January 2022 when Nnamdi Chidera was 13, he took ill and his father took him to Joe Foundation Hospital and Maternity Iheaka in Igbo Eze South Local government area of Enugu state. The hospital is owned and run by Dr. Shedrach Obinna Ekeh. Upon examination, Dr. Ekeh told Mr Nnamdi Francis that his son had developed appendix and strongly recommended operation. Mr Francis had no option but to accede to Dr. Ekeh’s recommendation believing him to be a qualified medical doctor. The operation lasted for solid eight(8) hours amidst screams of agonized and excruciating pain from Nnamdi Chidera wafting through theatre room. Francis who couldn’t endure the disturbing shrill voice of his son made a dash for the door of the theatre room but was forcibly restrained by the nurses on duty. He was made to endure and hold in the pain of the agonized cries of his beloved son. After a while, a deathly silence followed and he assumed his son had died. They later wheeled him out unconscious. They stayed there for further two weeks while he recuperated and still paid through their nose to be discharged. Nnamdi Chidera continued to complain of chest pain regularly. Something he never did before. He wouldn’t undertake any physical and tasking activity to their great surprise because he used to push wheel barrow for pay in their local market. Francis took him back to Dr. Ekeh who couldn’t offer anything helpful. Francis then took him to another Hospital. The Doctor there was left shocked by what he saw. He immediately ordered a scan. The result showed that Chidera's left kidney had gone missing. Mr Francis, distraught and shocked, did another scan in four(4) different hospitals and they all returned the same result -the left kidney of his son was missing. According to Mr Nnamdi Francis, "the only natural and probable conclusion is that Dr. Ekeh illegally and without Mr Francis' consent and knowledge removed the left kidney of Nnamdi Chidera during the operation he performed on his son in violation of the provision of section 48(1) of The National Health Act 2014 and section 22 of Trafficking in Person (Prohibition) Act 2015 which prohibit and criminalize removal of human organ without first obtaining the consent of the person." Mr Nnamdi Francis on 17th day of September, 2024, proceeded to file a complaint with the Hon. Commissioner of Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development Enugu State who ensured that Dr. Ekeh was arrested by Nigeria Police. Mr Francis who was deeply frustrated by the snail speed of investigation by police and increasingly concerned that this matter has yet to be charged to court. He also heard through grapevine that the Police are leaning towards releasing Dr Eke and exonerating him of all wrong doings despite overwhelmingly cogent and compelling evidence to the contrary as Chidera Francis continue to suffer and complain of excruciating pain for the past two years. On 12/11/2024, Mr Nnamdi Francis was summoned to Enugu by the police for a meeting with the Commissioner of Police. This has increasingly become normal. The Investigating Police Officer will call them on phone to come Enugu for a meeting with the commissioner of police the following day. Mr. Francis was surprised when he and his son was taken to Magistrate court Enugu where Dr Shadrach Obinna Ekeh was arraigned for PRACTISING MEDICINE WITHOUT LICENSE. He was confused and shocked and was straining at his seat raising his hand to draw the attention of the magistrate to no avail. The complaint he lodged with the police is illegal removal of his son's kidney and not this. He was not even cited as the nominal complainant. After the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty and he was immediately
