@Tam1350622 @euanmccolm Yes, all UK taxpayers pay Short Money to the SNP. So unless Murrell ring fenced the money he was embezzling, we all were duped by Murrell & Sturgeon.

It is quite funny that the zoomiest of the zoomer Nats donated £500k to a dedicated second referendum fund and it ended up getting spaffed on £3.5k wine coasters and £2.6k salt and pepper grinders.

The co-signatories to the account included Colin Beattie MSP (still); and the chair of the NEC when questioners were bullied out was Kirsteen Oswald MSP, now a minister in the Scottish Government's Justice team. The other signatory was of course Ms Sturgeon./

Murrell, the estranged husband of Nicola Sturgeon, was a long serving chief executive of the SNP. The party will now face serious questions about its governance during the time of Murrell's offending. dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/…

Sturgeon wants us to believe that she was incapable of reading a balance sheet - the published SNP accounts showed indisputably that the money had gone missing. Now maybe Sturgeon really couldn’t read a balance sheet - but what about Swinney? He cannot credibly use that excuse.
Hannah Brown@HannahMargBrown

Nicola Sturgeon says she was “deceived” and “let down” by her “former husband” Peter Murrell which has caused her “acute pain”, in a statement. She reiterates in her statement she had “no knowledge or suspicion” that he was using SNP funds for personal purposes.

This is Nicola Sturgeon denying any financial problems in the SNP prior to her husband's embezzlement being investigated by the police. She was in a position to look at the party's books but found nothing to worry about?

Murrell pleaded guilty to embezzling £400,310.65 from the SNP. 😋😋😋Sturgeon insisted she had no knowledge of or involvement in her husband’s criminality, which the Crown Office accepted. 😋😋😋 thetimes.com/article/4bbfe0…

We’re all enjoying the schadenfreude watching how Spanish police is treating those insufferable flotilla activists — especially since Spain is one of the first countries to level accusations against Israel for using disproportionate force. Imagine, though, if these cosplaying toddlers were instead suspected of carrying explosives or knives in order to murder civilians. Imagine if they were caught in the act of maiming, slaughtering, raping, and kidnapping innocents, all while yelling ‘Allahu Akbar!’ in religious ecstasy. And imagine them promising to do it all over and over and over again. How would Spanish police respond then?

@MrTCHarris Agreed. I was in my early 20s (moved to London) before I even had a Macdonalds as there wasn't one in Edinburgh at that time. And no-one warned me about the pickled gherkins - yuk!

As a Boomer I can assure you there were not only very few fast food outlets when I was growing up (I ate my first McDonald's in 1992 at the age of 28), there was also no minimum wage.
Raven@raven_brah

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.
