Brilliant thread exposing the hypocrisy of the SNP nationalists. The sudden faux disgust at WoS since he's turned on the current SNP Murrell regime.

@GMacdonaldSNP @no202123 Tesco’s profit you state was operating profit & was on £69.9billion turnover. So 4.5% profit. A lot of businesses would go bust on profit as small as that, but your post demonstrates how little you & the SNP know about business.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland is an energy powerhouse. 💨 We produce a vast amount of low-cost renewable electricity, but instead of helping cut costs, we face higher bills because our energy isn’t in our hands. 🗳️ Make it #BothVotesSNP on 7 May for a Scottish Government that works for Scotland.

@alexwickham So we’re to believe that if someone fails DV, then they can still be appointed to a high powered position, with access to classified material & no-one can stop that appointment? 🐂 sh*t.

BREAKING: Sources say Olly Robbins felt bound by the rules of the security vetting process NOT to tell the PM, No10 or the foreign secretary about the concerns raised about Mandelson That means it appears No10 WERE in fact unaware he had issues with his vetting And sources say in fact Mandelson DID NOT simply fail his vetting. Instead issues were raised and the FCDO security team and ultimately Robbins had to make a decision on whether to grant him DV clearance. It was their decision and there was no “overturning,” sources say As @SamCoatesSky reports via former security official Ciaran Martin, Robbins was prohibited from sharing information about what happened with anyone outside the FCDO security team Sources say the point of the vetting process is that it is extremely invasive and people who go through it must be confident they can tell the whole truth and not have highly embarrassing information about their personal lives leak or be spread around colleagues That means the circle of people allowed to know about what happens in each vetting case is very small and the information is highly privileged The decision on whether to approve Mandelson’s clearance, according to the vetting rules, is taken by a small team of FCDO security officials and ultimately Robbins, sources say Under no circumstance is Robbins or that team able to share the details of the vetting case with No10 or anyone else, sources say. Robbins felt he could not share it with any minister or private office, sources say It appears the PM and No10 were unaware of how these rules were perceived by Robbins and FCDO, and think he should have told them. Allies of Robbins think it is unfair he was sacked But crucially it appears right now that Robbins did not tell No10 and they were actually in the dark about all this until Tuesday. What an unbelievable mess

Ms Sturgeon has just won an award for her “visionary leadership” in building an economy that works for people. Allegedly. Scotland has the highest rate of drug deaths in Europe. 1 in 5 children grow up in poverty. There’s a housing crisis with cities like Edinburgh forced to close their waiting list The education attainment gap is as wide as ever Scotland depends on up to 30 percent higher funding from the Treasury than England to sustain its public services… I could go on, but I need a drink. “Visionary leadership” 🤦🏼‍♀️

At a @CommonsForeign session in November 2025, I directly asked Sir Oliver Robbins whether the FCDO had a different view of who should be recommended for the posting of US Ambassador. His response? "It was clear that the Prime Minister wanted to make this appointment himself."

There's no putting the jizz back in the spaff cannon now. It's over everyone and the media have found their UV light. It's like a Peter Mandelson bukkakathon and everyone forgot their goggles.

🚨Here’s a prototype of our free bags! Every child starting school will soon get a free SNP-yellow bag, creating a national *government approved* identity💛🌍 Why? Research shows individuality can be a proxy for dissent or fragmentation - which leads to anti-SNP sentiment☹️👎

Full list of broken SNP manifesto promises. And they expect us to believe them this time round? @JohnSwinney @ScotGovFM @scotgov @theSNP @theSNPMedia 1. Failed to introduce a Deposit Return Scheme despite pledging to have one in place by 2022 2. Pledged to increase medical school places by 100 per year but policy was paused in 2024/25 3. Promised to recruit an extra 3,500 teachers and classroom assistants but numbers have actually declined by 810 4. The SNP vowed to freeze income tax bands but has added a new ‘advanced rate’ band of 45 pence applied on income from £75,000 to £125,140 5. Failed to create a register of interests for the judiciary despite it forming part of the 2021 manifesto 6. Has failed to consult on splitting the dual role of the Lord Advocate, instead ruling out change after an 'independent review' 7. Broke promise to introduce a new housing standard, instead pausing the work in October 2024 8. Pledged to spend 10% of the transport capital budget on active travel but in 2025/26 set aside just £152 million out of £2.1 billion 9. SNP manifesto stated the party would "remove the majority of fossil fuel buses from public transport in Scotland by 2023" but the most recent figures suggest just 18.4% are battery electric 10. Missed a target to invest an additional £500m in skills, instead investing less than half that 11. Paused a programme to establish Green Growth Accelerators despite vowing to "unlock £200m investment by local authorities" 12. Ditched a pledge to create a £20m Rural Entrepreneur Fund 13. Broke promise to give every child "their own laptop or device and a free internet connection" 14. The 2021 manifesto promised to provide free school breakfasts to secondary school pupils but the Scottish Government was forced to admit: "This manifesto commitment was not progressed as part of the Programme for Government." 15. Vowed to exempt under 22s from council tax but no action has been brought forward 16. Pledged to establish a national care service but this was scrapped in 2025 17. Failed to scrap non-residential charges in social care with "no meaningful progress" made, according to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation 18. The SNP manifesto stated the party would "abolish NHS dentistry charges" but these remain in place 19. Scrapped plans for an Islands Bond "offering up to £50,000 to young people and families to stay on or to move to islands currently threatened by depopulation" 20. Despite promising to develop an NHS app during the parliamentary term, this will not be fully operational until 2030 at the earliest 21. Promised to provide a bike for every child but just a fraction of the bikes needed have been distributed.

In case anyone is wondering about Scottish Labour and their recent record of lying... A few months ago they used a completely fake quote from a campaigner on a leaflet. Not to mention the many lies and broken promises over WASPI, Grangemouth, etc.

Deidre has hit the nail on the head 🔥 🗣️ Education is increasingly obsolete in Scotland, as children can just Google things. The next SNP government will continue to widen the attainment gap, so that - eventually - we can do away with schools altogether 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
