“Peasant” is a pejorative term in some circles, incl. parts of RW Twitter. But living among some of the West’s last true peasants has led me to admire them. They are resourceful, handy, smart in many ways. And they take care of each other better than our modern “enlightened” lot.

You can find direct relationships between modern leftism and Christianity. Christianity is also the mother of communism promoting the concept of equality rather than hierarchy. Christianity has been a great destroyer of western culture and a great enabler of crimes against Europeans.

I think my short reply already gave it away, but since you asked... This'll probably piss some people off (I don't care), but I'm not a fan of the Middle Eastern faith, or any faith, its just not relatable because I'm not from the Middle East, its the same reason I don't listen to rap or hip-hop music: I'm not black, I can't relate. It's a man-made invention: a set of rules and beliefs people are pressured to follow, or face ostracism, shame, exclusion from the group, or threats of eternal hellfire. At its core, it's an incredibly effective tool for social control and enforcing conformity. The Bible reinforces this by constantly calling followers "sheep" and God/Jesus the "shepherd." Sheep don't question; they obey blindly, trusting the shepherd to keep them safe and punishing strays. Passages like "The Lord is my shepherd" (Psalm 23) or Jesus saying "My sheep hear my voice... and they follow me" (John 10:27) make it clear: the ideal believer is submissive, unquestioning, and compliant. The system isn't built for independent thought, it's built for obedience. Doubt or questioning gets labeled as rebellion or sin to keep everyone in line. It also works as a powerful coping mechanism. It shields people from life's harsh realities, the fear of death, and the terrifying unknown by promising an afterlife, divine purpose, or ultimate justice that makes the universe feel fair and meaningful. Just obey the rules and believe, and you're rewarded, eternity in heaven. Another famous Abrahamic religion runs the same playbook, except the reward includes a bunch of virgins too. On top of that, it feeds moral superiority. Believers often look down on non-believers as sinful, lost, or damned, which boosts their ego and justifies judging everyone else. It's the exact same dynamic you see with some liberals who weaponize anti-racism and anti-bigotry, not to fix real issues, but to claim the moral high ground, shame people into submission so they will convert, and feel superior while enforcing their own orthodoxy. One of the worst parts, in my opinion, is how it relies almost entirely on wishful thinking, no effort, and blind faith instead of logic, evidence, or critical thinking. People shape their whole lives around unproven ideas like mysticism, fate, or divine intervention without ever seriously questioning or testing them. Choosing comforting stories over facing reality with reason and skepticism is an immature way to live. It produces groups of people who simply don't think critically, or at all. Historically, Christianity has replaced or absorbed other cultures' traditions to expand influence and rack up converts. This pattern shows up everywhere. In Africa, European missionaries supplanted indigenous spiritual systems with Christianity, eroding or overwriting local beliefs. The same happened across Europe and countless other places. Christianity was imposed on societies with their own established cultures, rituals, and worldviews, slowly replacing or blending them to consolidate power. That same "humanitarian" impulse, dressed up as compassion and charity, continues today through mass immigration and pushing large-scale influxes. It's the modern missionary playbook: liberals promote it with the same zeal under the banner of "helping others," while quietly overwriting native cultures, traditions, and identities. The left plays this guilt game too. They constantly shame you for not being selfless enough, for not sacrificing more time, money, or comfort for strangers or "the greater good." No matter how much you give, it's never enough. You're always painted as selfish, greedy, or morally deficient if you prioritize your own life and happiness over endless self-sacrifice. It's the same psychological lever religion uses, just repackaged in secular moralizing. To sum it up: I'd rather stare reality straight in the face and deal with it honestly than believing in some 2,000-year-old Middle Eastern Jewish dogma, that was forced onto European and White cultures, as it was never truly meant for us in the first place. I wish more people would wake up, stop acting like sheep, and do the same, but that means learning to accept and confront reality head-on instead of hiding behind the comforts of faith, and that's hard for people, they love their comfort.

You want the REALLY fun take on this new Dune discourse? Paul did not engage in any "cultural appropriation". The fremen culture had been deliberately engineered for generations to welcome someone like him as a savior. He was literally doing what their culture demanded of him

A remarkable interview with Reform's Deputy Leader. He does not rule out accepting small boat migrants from Iran. Restore Britain's position is clear. We would abolish the entire asylum system. No more asylum seekers from Iran, Afghanistan or anywhere else. Not one more.

I’m sorry, but this is cope. You can dislike Polanski all you want, and I do dislike his politics, however, it is undeniable he is a good politician. The Greens put in an immense amount of effort, Hannah ran a good social media page, their canvassing was huge. Polanski has strong energy and a great pull on voters, especially young voters. Starmer is a boring, unappealing, sack of shit. Labour lost because Labour has no energy anymore. We can take the piss out of the Greens for their whack-job policies, but they are fantastic campaigners… that is why they are a credible threat. If you want to beat them, learn.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK

🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer has written to all Labour MPs to explain why Labour lost the Gorton and Denton by-election Dear Colleagues, The result in Gorton and Denton is deeply disappointing. Instead of a Labour MP who can be a local champion delivering for Gorton and Denton alongside a Labour Government and a Labour mayor, the people of Gorton and Denton now have a representative who is more interested in dividing people than uniting them. We have to learn lessons from that, and we will. I know this is a tough result for our movement but I still want to thank you for everything you did to support our brilliant candidate Angeliki Stogia. She did a fantastic job and Gorton and Denton deserved to have her as their MP. We’ve seen the true colours of Zack Polanski’s Greens in this campaign. The Greens were able to capitalise on an endorsement from George Galloway to win over enough voters to push them over the line. Their willingness to welcome Galloway's divisive, sectarian politics is a sign that the Greens are not the harmless environmentalists they pretend to be, and their position on legalising all drugs shows how unstable this electoral coalition is. It cannot survive a general election campaign. It hurts, but this is the kind of result that we have often seen parties of government face. In by-elections people can make their voice heard without risking a change of government. I get it: people are rightly impatient to see the change they voted for. It’s my job to make sure that happens. And I’m working day in, day out to see it through. Over the coming months, people will feel the benefit of the long-term decisions this government is taking. Look at the good economic news we’ve had in the past week: inflation and borrowing coming down, retail sales and business confidence rising, energy bills falling. And look at the policies that are going to make a difference in people’s lives in the coming months: the landmark Employment Rights Act, money off energy bills, the cruel two-child limit scrapped, more free breakfast clubs opening, Pride in Place funding coming through, NHS waiting lists continuing to fall. It will show what we’ve been saying from the outset of this year: the country is turning a corner. These are all Labour policies, putting Labour values into action - policies no other party would or could deliver. The Greens may have won here, but they simply do not have the resources, the activist base or the local knowledge to replicate this victory across the country. We’ve seen that before. We’ve seen it with the Lib Dems, who have often won mid-term by-elections against both the Conservatives and Labour, but never been able to come close to winning nationally. We’ve seen it with George Galloway, who won two mid-term by elections but held neither of those seats in a general election. We will continue to warn of the risk the Greens pose: the risk of extreme policies like legalising all drugs and pulling out of NATO that most voters strongly reject, and the risk of splitting the progressive vote so that Reform come through the middle. The next election is too important to let that happen. It’s a fight we can win, and we’re going to win it. Best, Keir

We need more trade unions in the private sector in Ireland imho. An organised, militant workforcs is a powerful instrument for political change and empowering the working and middle classes and their interests at the expense of the deracinated, corrupt elite
Fíner@2Feener

Even if we concede every malicious claim about Ireland it's still the least "left-wing" society in Europe, having never arrested a parent for homeschooling their child, fought a civil war for communism, let labour unions run deliberately run it's factories into the ground etc.

@DiarmaidOCon Most people aren't able to articulate themselves, they don't spend much time deep in thought. What people are doing is intuiting their position, the left seeks the destruction of the European identity while the right seeks to preserve it, that's the difference.

Feelings are subjective, & are in no way consequential towards objective realities like identity. But a tiger will tell you he's a house cat to get closer to his target. That's why we stick with the objective. The subjective is quite often a manipulative lie lacking verification.
