@Pronate @JoeyOakie @UIBaseball He will be fine- just because Oakie’s fastball had a great sinker shape doesn’t mean that he has to throw 105mph and is blowing out his arm. Some guys just happen to be great pronators and have that sinker shape to their primary fastball.

@GoldsteinEthan @JoeyOakie @UIBaseball It’s Iowa, so we can forget about Coach Newton. But a Sinker has to be some degree slower than a fastball. I teach -10 MPH. Does Mr Oakie throw 105 MPH fastballs. Let’s hope his Teres Minor muscle lasts long enough to fastball. #justboys

A good look at 2024 @JoeyOakie today. The @UIBaseball recruit showcased a sinker up to 95 with 24in of run and a slider in the mid 80s at 2800rpm. Excellent stuff and should be a high follow next spring.

2025 @LukeBillings44 looked dominant in his inning of work. The @Vol_Baseball topped out at 91 and pounded the zone with a slider in the upper 70s at 2500rpm. Electric arm and a high follow for sure.
