Medicaid pays what it pays, so increased demand from medicaid recipients doesn't tend to increase prices, at least, no as much as increased market demand.

I think they also benefit from a lot of data collected on the population and long-term approach bc of single payer system.

@MaxNordau $3.8B could still provide a lot of healthcare for those who can't afford it. ACA originated as a Heritage Fdn alternative to socialized medicine, to provide universal healthcare via market, by reqg young/healthy to get cvg, but that was struck down by SCOTUS,so cost keep going up
