I’m excited to announce that my second, 1st-author PhD paper was published in @PNASNews. pnas.org/content/118/19… By solving the rhinovirus-14 (RV14) structure in complex with its receptor ICAM-1 by #cryoEM, we described how ICAM-1 primes the virus for genome release. A thread👇👇

@PlevkaLab @JanyBinovsky Actually I remember we usually learnt about ,,Epstein-Barrovej" virus (,,-ovej", comes from ,,-ova" is a suffix commonly used for women's surnames in slavic languages). However, we always learnt about ,,Okazakiho" fragments (which indicates it was discovered solely by a man).
