To match the average police pension after 30 years service, you'd need to have £1.5 MILLION in your private pension...by your mid 50s (!) Less that 1% of people with private pensions will accrue this. The Public Sector are the real 1%. The State is unsustainable.

Meningitis is NOT contagious, so what’s with all the nonsense? As my friend Kat Watkins says on FB today: “Meningitis is an infection in the brain caused by toxins passing the blood brain barrier. You cannot 'catch' it, it's not contagious 🙄🙄 So all this closing of schools is just theatre. It's to scare you into making sure you jab yourselves and your kids up. @bmay She’s not lying, meningitis is not transmissible, the bacteria that can lead to meningitis is what is transmitted, but even so, the rates of it becoming meningitis after passing the blood brain barrier are fairly low.

@JGillRay @jruddy99 The baseline cost/barrel is higher than in newer basins like Guyana, Brazil pre-salt, or even parts of the Middle East. Even without tax, the North Sea is structurally more expensive. The majors are even pulling out of Alaska, as the ROI doesn’t work on North Slope anymore.

If we drilled for every single one of those 7.5 billion barrels today, they would all be sold for $100 each - because that is the international market price. There is no guarantee a single drop would even reach the UK's petrol forecourts.
