@Richard_Mann11 He was still pretty economical in both 1st Innings...just went for more runs 2nd innings in both tests...and I didn't think he had much luck.. hopefully he's among the wickets should he play at Old Trafford 🤞

@GoodLengthSarge Yeh, it was either no movement or then decent swing at lord’s which was from the hand and early. Aussies lined him up easy. Last few years he’s tended to seam it late more than swing, and he’s been better for it. I’m not sure he’s done yet 🙏🙏🙏

England can’t win the Ashes with Bairstow as keeper. Taking 40 wickets at Manchester and the Oval will be hard enough, but creating 50 chances, virtually impossible. #Ashes2023

@Richard_Mann11 He did look like he wasn't getting as much movement as he usually does, but I also thought he could have had 2 or 3 wickets on another day, it wasn't as if he didn't beat the bat at all...would it surprise you if he bagged a 5fer in this next Test? If selected?

@GoodLengthSarge What have you made of Anderson? Speed guns suggests he’s the same bowler (avg quicker than broad and robbo) but he looks to have lost some nip to me. Maybe just because the pitches were slow, or the movement not as late as before

@Richard_Mann11 That would make sense, not a huge difference from 4 to 3, then bring in Anderson or Tongue for Robinson.

@GoodLengthSarge Surely Root does it for two games? It’s not like it’s permanent with no Tests for ages and Pope then back. Or they pick another batter if Robbo not fit and stokes is fit to bowl, and Lawrence then bats three
