Ed Miliband continues to face criticism for his clean energy plans.
"Buying dirty energy from all around the world because he wants to virtue signal to everyone else out there.
"He is a danger to Britain, he really is."

BREAKING: Labour Chief of Staff Morgan McSweeney was sending WhatsApp messages on his official iPhone when it was snatched out of his hand by a robber in a balaclava outside a restaurant - McSweeney tried to chase down his assailant but failed (@TheTimes) thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Why do we have to wait a month to see how @RachelReevesMP plans to reduce the cost of filling up? WTF is she waiting for?
Dozens of countries have already introduced caps on retail fuel prices.
China and Croatia, along with Greece, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Thailand, have now introduced price caps! Taiwan absorbs 60% of price hikes through a government mechanism. Germany and Austria limit how often stations can raise prices. France has introduced price ceilings and increased inspections to prevent gouging. Many other countries are using alternatives such as VAT or excise tax cuts (e.g., Spain, Portugal, Sweden), subsidies, or stockpiles rather than direct caps
The economy, businesses, and motorists are suffering right now. I predict that inflation will increase by 0.3% due to the March pump-price rip-offs.
So, I repeat, why are we waiting a month to know what the hell this government plans to do to relieve the cost-of-living crisis? The rest of the world is already helping drivers.

@kelvmackenzie Monkhouse was a genius , saw him live bloody brilliant ( & a bit blue)
English

“I’m not saying my wife’s a bad cook but she uses a smoke alarm as a timer.”
Unbelievably it was that kind of gag by Bob Monkhouse that led to an episode of BBC’s The Repair Shop being pulled after a TV production employee took offence to an alleged “ sexist” joke.
The hardback archives of Monkhouse’s handwritten joke books, dating back to 1960s, were bought in for repair by the comic’s adopted daughter and his old writing partner.
In a tribute to the comic, who died in 2003, footage of the restoration was due to be aired this year.
But the BBC axed the segment after a member of the production company Ricochet complained about one of the gags.
I would like to know the identity of that employee. He or she has robbed many of us of a decent bit of television. Rare enough on the BBC
I couldn’t give a toss if they were upset about the gag. Monkhouse will have bought a damned sight more pleasures to the world than this employee ever will.

@StarmertheFraud @glasgowcathcart @metpoliceuk @kateferguson4 If a govt phone would it not be backed up?
If his own phone what about security & gdpr issues??
English

This McSweeney phone story is odd. I've contacted the @metpoliceuk. They can't search by name; need date & place to confirm a report of the theft. Cab Office won't give me these details and refer me to Met Police. @kateferguson4 Met also say they got no media inquiries "until the Sun published." @kateferguson4 did you get any confirmation from Met that a police report was made? Should be an easy thing to confirm it was actually reported stolen. Questions need answering @lewis_goodall @afneil
English

@d5_rss @glasgowcathcart Was it not backed up ?? If a Govt phone then it would be? If it was his phone then massive security & GDPR issue
English

So he wasn't able to access his old emails on his new phone like the rest of us do when we get a new phone? This excuse won't last the morning.

EXCL: Morgan McSweeney's mobile phone with texts to Peter Mandelson was stolen. These messages may be lost forever - meaning there there will be gaps in The Mandelson files published by No10. Phone was nicked and reported to police last year. thesun.co.uk/news/38591267/…
