New tools, new features, and a LOT of new announcements - it’s been an I/O to remember! Here’s the latest from the Lab: @PomellibyGoogle 💼 introduced new agentic capabilities to help small businesses scale quickly. Drop in context (like a business plan or images) and the Pomelli Agent builds your Business DNA. Plus, you can generate polished brand books and stand up a fully hosted website in just a few clicks. @Stitchbygoogle ✨ is already re-imagining the way you vibe design. Steer iterations in real-time using text or your voice, and import your own codebases or design files to start with existing sources. Just explain what you want, and watch Stitch help you build. Project Genie 🌎 brings your character into entirely new worlds. And now some existing ones too! Simulate environments grounded in real places using @GoogleMaps Street View. We’ve also added a library to organize your creations and the ability to share a video preview of your world with friends. Rolling out globally to AI Ultra. @GoogleFlowMusic 🎶 now gives you more creative control. Edit your track section-by-section, remix full-songs while maintaining the original melody and structure, or create music videos with the new Gemini Omni model. Step into the map with the Street View grounding feature in Project Genie from @GoogleDeepmind and @GoogleLabs. Announced at I/O, this research prototype uses locations from @GoogleMaps Street View as a foundation, letting you generate and explore interactive, 360-degree virtual environments from just a text prompt or real-world starting place. Cool, right? But… How does it actually work? 🤔 As an experimental tool, Project Genie tackles the "blank space" problem (showing both what’s in front of the camera and behind it) by utilizing Street View data to realistically generate a 360-degree view of the location you selected as the starting point for your world to generate from. Worlds generated by Genie are far more dynamic and rich because they’re created frame-by-frame based on the world description and user actions. By predicting each subsequent frame, Genie is able to simulate what it looks like to swim across an ocean, or hike to the top of a peak, marking a massive shift in interactive media and simulation pipelines. Every good chord progression needs a resolution. 🎹 To focus on building @GoogleFlowMusic - our tool for creating, sharing, and remixing original music - we will be saying a fond farewell to MusicFX and MusicFX DJ on July 31, 2026. These early experiments pushed the boundaries of AI for real-time music creation, and we're taking everything we learned from them to provide a long-term home for musical projects. Last week at I/O, we got to hear from the writers, designers, coders, and filmmakers behind products like @FlowbyGoogle, Project Genie, and @GoogleFlowMusic. A key theme: “See technology as a blank canvas… it's really the human imagination that shapes the technology into new stories and new ways of telling stories” as Matthew Carey puts it. Even as tools evolve at lightning speed, human collaboration remains the absolute center of the creative process. @KhyatiTrehan and @kaloyaan, pictured below, also shared how they blend their traditional creative design knowledge with vibe-coding to create the vision for Google Flow Tools. As Khyati said: "If [the right tool] doesn't exist, maybe I can just make it." Kaloyan sees this newfound accessibility as an explosion of new creative possibilities and ideas we have yet to see.
