@IsaacOkoroFan Its 61-39. The knicks came back from a bigger deficit in about half a quarter. Just to put it in perspective of how bad of a choke game 1 was.
New York has just looked like the better and more cohesive team all series
We can talk about the rest disparity, but you have to find a way to get back in transition if you want to win a championship
The Cavs don't look like they have it in them
If the Eastern Conference had a 35-28 game through 6:28 of the 2Q, people would call this nasty hoops.
Since it’s the West, it’s “look at the defense!”
@realcavsfans I would attempt to move one of Merrill or strus. Merrill is just useless when he's not hitting shots. They need more guys who can attack off the dribble and finish. They have almost nobody on the team who can do it.
@Googleman245 If you move one bit you have to get at least another big back and would have to better support the wing if it means weakening the back line support with the backcourt.
But some of Mobley at center issues is how small they always were around him.
So much of this offseason depends on what's behind each door.
You can make a convincing argument for either but until you know what's behind each not sure there's a right answer.
On Sunday, May 24? Think you see how much better you can get before committing to getting worse.
@realcavsfans Kenny had the luxury of going up against a rookie playoff coach and JB. Mike Brown is a decent coach but he's made kenny look 2 tiers below him. Its obvious kenny isnt a playoff caliber guy.
Mike Brown did a really good job of negating the value of Dean Wade but the Cavs were also too willing to let it happen.
When Wade was on Brunson, Brown seemed to intentionally make Wade sift through traffic and work pre-catch to get Wade off of Brunson or at the very least a step behind Brunson on the catch. (Where was that for Mitchell and Harden? That's for another time)
Additionally, if the whole value of Dean Wade is defensively to guard Brunson then why is the scheme so lax in allowing the Knicks to get the matchup they want and thus so easily negating Wade's value?
In 60 possessions where Wade was a direct matchup against Brunson through three games, Brunson had 9 FGAs. That's a FGA every 6.66 possessions.
In the other 195 possessions of direct matchups, Brunson had 63 FGAs. That's a FGA every 3.09 possessions.
The Cavs had an avenue to suppress shots for Brunson and yet allowed the Knicks to suppress that avenue and pave their own avenue instead.
