The fact we signed Madueke and Gyok even to take us ‘over the line’ 🤣 and that we forced ourselves into believing they may work out when, in fact, it was obvious they wouldn’t.

Every time I remember we have intentionally started: A midfield of Merino, Zubi, Rice An attack of Gyok, Madueke, Martinelli I die a little inside.

Genuinely think City will be looking at this season and thinking to themselves how the fuck have we managed to put ourselves in a position where we can win the league. The fact Arsenal didn’t put it to bed is scandalous

I find it so odd how this is being framed as Arsenal fans making the players nervous rather than it being the other way round. There was no nervousness in the crowd in previous seasons when we were actually capable of progressing the ball!

It’s crazy how that Saliba injury in 22/23 changed our entire trajectory. If he was fit Arteta wins early and does so playing amazing football. We build on that philosophy and likely win more titles. Instead, destiny pushed us to a more pragmatic, physical style on small margins.

I can’t believe Gyokeres still has fans backing him lool league would’ve been wrapped up if Havertz was the CF at the start of the season. Havertz isn’t even that good, he’s just less useless. It’s like playing with 10 men with Gyokeres.

And my stance was that I wouldn’t have started Madueke or Gyokeres. The former was rightly hooked and we need to have a conversation on what he’s served up this season. Havertz criticism after yesterday is funny. He HAD to score one of those two chances .. but he’s still way better than Gyokeres. Goal aside, he pinned their CB’s and without him we’d have not got a sniff. We need to upgrade on BOTH, but between Havertz and Gyok, it’s not close.

Havertz in his first start as a CF this season had more offensive threat vs Man City, than Gyokeres has done all season vs the top 8 teams.

I agree. And I am (was) massively pro Arteta. But are they not his players?
