I really like Keir Starmer. He’s a good man with morals & integrity. You can see how much it means to him to do things right & when he makes a mistake, it pains him. Many previous Prime Ministers couldn’t care less, as long as their mistakes were hidden.

Fucking hell, I have never known QT step into a debate to defend a panellist, let alone a non-pannelist. This is shocking.

Nigel Farage once said he wouldn’t stand as an MP as it’s difficult to be in a constituency and out across the UK at the same time. So on a day #bbcqt is in Clacton he’s decided to go to Sunderland instead. He has mislead the people of Clacton and should stand down as their MP.

I’m sorry but what sort of MP turns down a place on Question Time when it’s held in his very own constituency? A failure is who. Clacton you must kick him out. He has used and abused you all.

I seem to remember being on Question Time, a few months ago, in Dover…my constituency. You were too scared to even put a Reform MP up for tonight it seems. Weak.

It is being reported that Chancellor Rachel Reeves will today argue for increasing alignment with European Union single market rules and greater development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Britain. Who will tell her she can have one or the other — but not both? While the UK is already the 3rd biggest AI power on the globe (after USA/China) the EU’s ‘prudential’ approach to regulation had already made it an AI backwater. The EU will understandably not let us pick and mix when it comes to closer alignment, which would inevitably mean our AI development coming within the dead hand of the Brussels’ regulatory ambit. She’d never give me an interview but perhaps someone from His Majesty’s Political Press Corps, which does have regular access to her, might like to mug up on this and ask her how these conflicting aims can be reconciled.

The PM was a Barrister. He should know better. Failing to answer the question is given short shrift by judges in court. The same applies to Parliament.

So can we be just be clear? Journalists are alleging that Morgan McSweeney staged the theft of his phone, lied to police, and wasted police time, in order to hide messages to Mandelson? And that the Prime Minister might be implicated in a cover-up? These are extremely serious and defamatory allegations.
