I’ve worked the 9-5 grind for the last four years since graduating college, long hours, less freedom, less time for the things I actually care about, and nowhere near the reward you’d expect for the sacrifice
to me, neet has always represented rejecting a system that feels increasingly tilted against younger people. We’re asked to give up our best years for a path that often no longer delivers the security it promised older generations. that’s why the “buy a coin and never work again” angle hits so hard, it represents an alternative escape route.
I think its extremely relatable. The engagement on the content proves a massive amount of people feel this same frustration
And now AI adds another catalyst. Younger people entering the workforce are competing not only with each other, but with laid off workers who already have years of experience, while many entry level roles get removed entirely
what if we all just bought a coin and never worked again? just see it being a dope movement. It kinda mirrors the original crypto ethos, i mean were all here to in efforts to gain some sort of freedom right? hedge against traditional systems
Also, when you talk to any older person about it they think you are smoking crack, which is a good thing, the rally will be hated by the boomers
