@GordonMScott The assumption that time flows constantly in each place is somewhat dubious isn’t it? There are slow eddies, spots where time refuses to keep up with the standard rate of decaying memory.

A walk in the Staffordshire countryside brought me back to a place by the old bridge river woods. This strange sight hasn't changed in 20 years except for the sudden appearance of a rabbit. #hookland @HooklandGuide

And now the inspiration of the great strength of this little guy pushing through the dried mossy carpet. The first mushroom of the season I've seen.

@IanGordonCraig Hey there Ian, no it's not derived from anyone l know. I use a sort of free hand intuition and the faces appear. The more l work on the portrait, the more fixed or focussed the face becomes. The experience for me is often surprise and awe, as they begin to stare back at me

This happened this week! 🤗 I am so happy with how my books have come out ‘in the flesh’ - even better than I could have hoped for. I am now sending out all my pre-orders, each individually signed and wrapped. Amazon, I am not! I will be open for UK sales on Sat 31 August! 😍

For some coffins are empty. Some dead sleep lightly. These are lessons my father learned and passed on to me. Never did he use the label vampire, for that is not the English way. – Rev. Edred Morley, 'A History of English Monsters', 1929
