Districts are required to minimize county splitting, and to have as close as possible population numbers. As drawn prior, it was a majority minority district, which is now understood to be unconstitutional

PLEASE READ THIS: The congressional redistricting in Tennessee has nothing to do with race. I live in Memphis. This is the reality of the situation: Rep. Steven Cohen (D-TN) - a white dude - has represented Memphis in Congress for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, Republicans nominated a BLACK WOMAN as their choice FIVE times. Democrats could have elected a black woman but she was the wrong political persuasion. So, my question to the black Democrats - did you deny Charlotte Bergmann her seat in Congress because of her skin color or her gender? Facts matter. Memphis Democrats loathe black Republicans more than they do white Republicans.

The TN GOP was exceptionally upfront that this was a political move to give TN a 9-0 republican representation in Congress

Whether one finds your comment interesting or not is irrelevant. You have one question to answer. What criteria was used to determine the boundary lines of the district to which you refer? That is the issue of concern, not who was chosen to represent that district. Even your argument is racist.

Sounds like it was an intensive process to get healthy enough to return, but he’s cleared now and they could not replicate the symptoms in tests this week. He did not specifically say what doctors believed the cause of the vertigo was. Jeff Andrews says Hendrick doesn’t have a driver on standby and they’re planning for Bowman to run all 500 laps tomorrow.
