(Sorry, been writing).. The person being aggressively targeted by UM, as some of you saw from the great @PeteThamel, is former Panthers president Michael Yormark, who has been on the business side of Roc Nation. He has been offered the job, per someone involved in UM's search.

Per source with DIRECT involvement, this was UM's decision no matter what way it's spinned publicly. UM wanted a modern age AD who is adaptable to the deal-making, ever-changing, financially-driven NIL world of college athletics. UM has been targeted a specific person for weeks; it would be a non-traditional hire with a business background if they land this person, per source.
