Totally meaningless stat, restaurant revenues go up nominally just like the amount of dollars in circulation is always going up. Inflation and population adjusted it’s about flat. Also discretionary spending and the labor market can diverge. People don’t save as much and use credit to fund their restaurant trips and other forms of discretionary spending
