Though based in Canada, we may also look at the ability to use other fiat currencies to buy BTC. Here are a few proposed "bells and whistles" in our dashboard redesign:
The first time, we built our #lightningnetwork app mostly in private. This time, we want to do things a bit differently. We want to share our ideas, designs and prototypes with the community as we go along. Who knows for certain where the road leads, but for now, we build. 🛠️

Really sad to hear that @GraafOne is shutting down
They were pioneers for ⚡️ and the first to bring it to 🇨🇦
They will not be forgotten
From all the Canadian lightning plebs out there: thanks for pushing the envelope and being great ⚡️ trailblazers
graaf.one/saying-goodbye…
@kvanderhoek75@HSBC@shakepay Of course, I'll (@DolzhenkoPavel) probably go back to volunteering/teaching at bitcoin beginner meetups in Edmonton when COVID is over, at minimum. @negrunch is teaching Bitcoin courses in south america and studying to contribute to lightning on a protocol level
@GraafOne@HSBC@shakepay While this must be very difficult for you and your team, hopefully you can continue to make valuable contributions to the #BTC ecosystem here in Canada. God knows this country is in desperate need of innovative businesses such as yours. So sad.
Saying Goodbye/Au revoir, Graaf is closing down trading operations on May 1st. After 3 long years, lots of blood, sweat and tears; it’s our time to say goodbye. We are proud to have been one of the many trailblazers in the lightning space; 1/
@Crypto_Mags@Vision49554174 We looked at some alternatives, we needed stable banking at the core, potentially bouncing around banks using 3rd party services is just something we decided against for our small project and at this stage in our business.
@kvanderhoek75@HSBC@shakepay For example, we were told every single one of the crypto business bank accounts at our home branch were being closed indiscriminately, they didn't have information on other branches or why some may remain open elsewhere.
@kvanderhoek75@HSBC@shakepay The explanation we were given made it seem like virtually all crypto business accounts save for a few would be shut down. When we asked how the selection was made for the "exceptions" they couldn't provide an answer; it's possible a few big exchanges will remain.
@kvanderhoek75@HSBC No, it was ATB financial. It's a bit sad, the person they had in charge of onboarding new accounts was moved to a different department and that position doesn't even exist anymore. They were the "crypto friendly bank" in 2018; then they changed course.
@Bitc0inTube@francispouliot_@BullBitcoin_ It could be, we've spoken to a few interested parties over the past few months but nothing concrete has materialized; as much as we love lightning, it is still a niche space and maybe not be a priority for most exchanges.
@GraafOne@francispouliot_@BullBitcoin_ you may be underselling yourself here. there's multiple Canadian Bitcoin exchanges that may be willing to buy you out and or merge?
@Bitc0inTube@francispouliot_@BullBitcoin_ Our team is about halfway moved on now, merging projects is often challenging, if someone would like to propose a way to use what we've built, we'll be happy to hear it.
