It's been an intense couple of weeks within the Child Employment space for the #CustomerService Programme team building on common components of journey phases & developing the 'to be' state ready to be validated with service area colleagues next week. A real well done to you all!

What a misleading headline! Phonics isn't magic, but it is a vital foundation. Agree we need to do much more to encourage reading for pleasure, and improve comprehension but undermining phonics isn't going to get us there.

Latest article for @tes is out now! Applying research from the Science of Learning to educational apps - helping us think about ways an app's features might support learning, but being aware of pitfalls too. Not every app has to be educational, but 'educational' apps should be.
