We're aware of a digital signature issue preventing The Sims 4 launching for some PC players, and are working on a fix in the coming days. As this fix will only update the launcher, the game version won't change and will have no impact on any installed mods.

@FenakMatus @AION2Official And even if there WERE lootboxes in the game, as long as you can't purchase them with real money OR the content % chances are made clear up front, it's no big deal at all. So yeah, I don't know why they screwing us over like this.

@saminova25 I also love that they are so responsive while developing the game. Like, they REALLY listen. I think if we let them cook for a while more, this game will become REALLY good. It's not The Sims, but it doesn't have to be imo!

Genuinely wonder whether people will choose a fully moddable Sims 4 or move to Project X. Feels like the modding potential may outweigh shiny graphics or less loading screens for people, but also maybe not!

@brubru1998Qc @jackofallgames7 No loadingscreens within districts, smarter Sims, better routing, better personalities, better weather effects (snow accumulation and proper rain physics) and more quality of life stuff implemented, and I'm generally fine with them not making a REAL Sims 5.

@brubru1998Qc @jackofallgames7 I agree. I personally don't dislike the Sims 4 at all. I just hate all the limitations it has. But that's all from like pre 2014 design choices and are really difficult to change in the current game. If they manage to take care of that, I'm fine with it. I like the art-style.

@jackofallgames7 @brubru1998Qc I’m still a little cautious, though, because they often scale back their ambitions to run well on lower-end hardware. Project X has a lot of great ideas from what I have seen, but I need to see how well they’re actually realized in the final game.

@jackofallgames7 @brubru1998Qc It really depends on the gameplay. If they manage to make Sims actually smarter, having routines, less loadingscreens etc. I think it will be a great improvement without having an actual ''SIMS 5''. It all depends on how far they will go though.

@TheSimCommunity It’s a whole lot of ‘i believe’ and ‘as far as i know’ and ‘don’t quote me on that’ so it’s best to take all of this with a big bag of salt. If it is really true it just passed the prototype stage, it will take another multiple years to release it. (If they don’t rush it).
