On the occasion of the World Food Day 2025, we are excited to launch "Foods of the Himalayas: Celebrating Indigenous Food Cultures Contest 2025" The TWG Mountain Food Systems of the Himalayan University Consortium (HUC) (Executive Secretary's Office of the HUC-in transition), in partnership with WHH Nepal - Welthungerhilfe and @NativeFoodscape , invites entries for an online contest highlighting traditional, ethnic, and Indigenous foods of the Hindu Kush Himalaya region. Today, @GradyFFC and I had the honor of presenting certificates and prizes🏆 to student winners from Holy Cross School in Dimapur (Nagaland). These students participated in the "Our Food, Our Pride" activity led by @NativeFoodscape and @HUCSecretariat where they documented traditional dishes belonging to their own tribe and celebrated their vibrant culinary heritage as part of the UN FAO World Food Day 2024.
