Do you believe it?! 4 Democrats just joined 45 Republicans in co-sponsoring devastating legislation to make Trump's farm worker wage cuts into federal law. Send a message to your US Rep TODAY telling them to do all they can to block this vile legislation. act.seiu.org/a/sawa?ms=tell…

Donald Trump sacrificed a life most people could only dream of to fight for the American people. He didn’t have to run for president. He already had everything—wealth, success, a beautiful family, worldwide recognition, and the freedom to live a comfortable life without ever entering politics. Yet he willingly stepped into the arena knowing it could cost him dearly: billions in lost business opportunities, years away from his family, relentless attacks from the media, endless lawfare, two impeachments, criminal charges, and multiple assassination attempts. Through all of it, he never stopped fighting for the forgotten men and women of America—securing the border, bringing jobs and manufacturing back, cutting taxes, strengthening the military, brokering historic peace agreements, standing up to America’s enemies, and putting America First like no president in modern history. He took the arrows, the attacks, and the hatred so regular Americans could have a stronger country and a better future. He kept standing when most people would have walked away. He kept fighting when giving up would have been easier. He remained a fighter who refused to back down, no matter what they threw at him. Love him or hate him, no honest person can deny his passion, his determination, and the sacrifices he has made for this country. The best president ever. Thank you, President Trump.

ICE arrested Jose Jairo Rivas-Santiago, a Honduran national and suspected MS-13 gang associate convicted of murder and armed robbery, upon his release from the Virginia Department of Corrections. 🔎In 2019, ICE @HSI_HQ special agents arrested Rivas-Santiago on charges of armed robbery and conspiracy related to an MS-13 gang murder and turned him over to the Richmond City Police Department for prosecution. Two years later, he was found guilty and sentenced to prison. This murderer was prevented from returning to a U.S. neighborhood because the state’s correctional facility honored our immigration detainer. 📰Learn more in our newsroom.

On the heels of an emotional City Council hearing on legislation to ban hansom cabs in Central Park, City Council Speaker Julie Menin on Thursday said the bill should be "beefed up" to include stronger job protections for carriage horse industry workers. amny.com/nyc-transit/me…

We're closer than ever to ending horse-drawn carriage rides in NYC 🎉 They are dangerous for horses and everyone around them, which is why so many advocates gathered at City Hall today to support this ban. Thank you to Edie Falco & Speaker @JulieMenin for speaking out!

Sixteen days. That’s the cost of Adrienne Adams’ four years of obstruction. If she hadn’t blocked Ryder’s Law, now known as Romanch’s Law, Romanch Mahajan, a young man on his family’s first trip to America, would still be alive today. I finally testified at the hearing I fought four years to get. Thank you @SpeakerMenin for that opportunity. Pass Romanch’s Law now!!

Thanks to the leadership of @SpeakerMenin, Chair @Lynn4NYC, and @chrismartenyc, Romanch's Law, aka Ryder's Law, has enough votes to pass! Let's phase out horse-drawn carriages to protect horses, support workers, and reflect the values of a modern city. Aspca.org/ryderslawnyc

18-year-old Romanch Mahajan came to NYC to celebrate his graduation. He didn't make it home. Today, the Council is holding a hearing on Romanch's Law to phase out horse-drawn carriages.
