@professor_dave Such sad news. Paul was a larger than life character and I have many happy memories of time spent with him at various conferences over the years, always involving a lot of laughter. My condolences to his husband and family.

Heartbroken to hear that my very close friend & colleague, Prof Paul Clarke, passed away in the small hours of the morning, after battling illness for the last 12 months. The world is much duller without him - I will never forget the energy with which he attacked life.

Molecular repurposing, classic case of how chemistry evolves and relies on older lit compared to other sciences. We prepared that bissulfonamide for a completely different application back in 2011. Now used by the Dong lab in Pd catalysis - something we never imagined. Nice work!
