Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Paul Darling. Paul was a passionate advocate for the racing and betting industry. Reliable, knowledgeable and principled, with a great sense of humour and infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed by all and my thoughts are with his family

@GMandGetFucked Thanks for sharing. I am not yet in post, but I understand your concerns, particularly the need to not penalise or overly interfere with customers who are having a leisurely bet, whilst still protecting those who are at risk. The industry, Gov&regulator are working on a solution

Hello @GrainneHurst01 congratulations on your new job - First things first - the people who are apparently in need of ‘protection’ aka punters do not want affordability checks. We are fully against them and all the polls suggest we are and the petition. - we are also fully against open banking. A massive 99% voted against it in my recent poll. It’s a disgrace to be able to bet our own money. We aren’t borrowing the money - some of us absolutely love to gamble and sometimes large sums because it’s our hobby and we love it just like some people like to spend thousands on other hobbies - we just want a good punt when ever we choose with our own money on a sport we love ( horse racing) which will be ruined with all this madness and invasion of privacy. - please fight for the punters who have all been completely ignored in every aspect of these checks implementation. For the protection of a very small minority who could quite easily find many other ways of gambling unregulated or find other illegal activities to get addicted to. I will be following your actions very closely as me and 99% of punters are sick of the way we’ve been treated and ignored. Get rid of these checks ASAP

Following a recent @UKWPFC event with @PitchingIn_ , they were kind enough to send me some water bottles for an after school club I run. The girls were thrilled. Such a small gesture that made them feel very special!
