Gary Oldman giggling at farts dubbed into his movies, then laughing 'til the tears roll down his cheeks, may well be the happiest minute of your day.

@GrainneOB1 Binged & loved. This is the problem, there's such a shortage of playfully toned TV that I get through it so fast.

Watched the 1st two episodes of #Sherwood S2 & then realised how incredibly grim it all was & stopped watching. I then tried to find something else to watch that was smart but joyful & I failed. Please can we have more upbeat British television that isn't straight comedy!

Worried I’ll be overwhelmed here, but if you identify as female and are actively trying to pursue a career in comedy as a producer or director, and want to join a small group of women I mentor, pls wave.

A real honour to write @MerlynMMR’s swan song ep for @BBCDoctors after 50+ brilliantly directed stories. Always makes every script sing and every acting performance fresh and real. 👏👏👏🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@tonyshoey I once got laughed at by a director in front of the whole crew because I sounded so ‘provincial’. Throughout the shoot he tried to mimic my accent many times and laughed each time. When I tried to complain no one got why I might be upset. I’m from Northern Ireland.

I only said to my wife yesterday that I hope my son doesn't end up talking like me because it'll hold him back. I'm embarrassed I said it now. He should be able to sound like he wants, because it's what's said that matters and not how it is said.

🧵Today is the last day of filming @BBCDoctors A show that has run for 24 years, employed thousands of people, produced more than 4,500 episodes, will call ‘cut’ for the final time. As a writer on the show for the past 19 years I’m personally impacted along with hundreds 1/
