Corn now in full tassel. Received 7/10 of rain on Friday ahead of the 95-98 degree heat this week

We have tassels and silks this morning. I’d estimate 40-50% of local fields planted in April and early May are now pollinating in SE IA. Later planted corn now only a few days behind the April corn

Corn pushing 8 ft tall. Should be tasseling later this week! Cool sun dog picture last week too! Old wives tale of weather pattern change?

7 day NOAA rainfall forecast on 6-30-26 vs actual rainfall the past 2 days. NOAA correctly predicted rains in Mn and WI but missed the Historic rainfall event in parts of C Iowa. Did any forecasters have this predicted??

Corn added about 6 inches since Tuesday. Field is more uneven in height compared to 2 years ago from the wetness.

Corn has grown about a foot so far in 5 days this week. 5.6 inches of rain so far in June on this field in SE Iowa with more predicted Sunday

Another 2.2 inches of rain today with 57 degree temps and crops starting to show yellowing from too much water. #Corn handling rains much better than #soybean fields but getting to the saturated point today.
