War in West Asia is dragging on, causing global economic & humanitarian crises. Shortages, price rise & risks to Hajj pilgrims are rising. His Eminence Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, Grand Mufti of India, urges prayers for peace & calls for urgent global diplomatic action.

Calling for collective spiritual response, he appealed that today, religious institutions and madrasas should conduct the recitation of one Juz’ of th Qur’an followed by prayers for peace. He also urged that special prayers be held in mosques tomorrow in conjunction with Jumu'ah.

Describing elections as a celebration of democracy, he emphasized the importance of public participation in the electoral process. He called upon all citizens to exercise their right to vote responsibly for the welfare of the nation and to help shape a better future.

His Eminence Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the Hon'ble Grand Mufti of India, cast his vote as part of the ongoing legislative assembly elections at Booth No. 218, Kanthapuram Government LP School, in the Balussery constituency, Keralam.

His Eminence noted that war is never a viable solution, as its consequences disproportionately affect innocent civilians and disrupt global stability.

He expressed hope that this development will lead to sustained dialogue and strengthened diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire in the coming days. Emphasizing the humanitarian dimension of the crisis,
