Starting Friday, Jan. 23, a 24/7 warming center will be at the Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane, for all Grand Prairie residents. This service will continue until weather conditions improve. *more information in comments*

Please note: - Transportation to the center is not provided. - Only service animals are permitted - Sleeping bags and cots are not allowed inside the center. - Residents are encouraged to bring chargers for their electronic devices.

Grand Prairie hosted the Dallas County DWI Task Force press conference. This year’s holiday campaign is #EndTheNightRight, meaning to find a ride home after a night out of drinking. The Dallas County Task Force is providing FREE Lyft ride codes to make it home safely.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! 🎃 👻 Halloween Tips: - Wear bright colors that can easily be seen at night and carry a flashlight. - Younger children should be with a parent, guardian, or a trusted adult. - Always accompany children to the door to receive candy. - Don't let children enter a home unless you are with them. - Only accept packaged candy. Adults should inspect all candy before eating. - Use sidewalks & if no sidewalk is present, walk in a group facing traffic.
