City Council held their first meeting of the year on January 12, 2026. A swearing in ceremony was held for Council Members Ben Anthony, Melanie Houston, Michelle Kozak, & Chris Smith. The Council elected Emily Keeler as Council President and Chris Smith as Council Vice President.

Franklin County is under a Slight Risk for severe weather on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. To prevent confusion, FCEM&HS will suspend the noon test of the Outdoor Warning Siren System tomorrow. If the sirens sound, a Tornado Warning is in effect, and residents should take action.

As we encounter more severe weather across the state, a quick reminder that when a traffic signal is flashing red you are required to treat it like a four-way stop or a stop sign. Only proceed when it is safe to do so.
Every day the Grandview Heights Fire & Police Departments respond to urgent requests for help, including life-threatening calls for service. One of the biggest challenges for our crews responding quickly and safely are those who do not yield to emergency vehicles.
