The Spielberg-era Interstellar draft had China as a major partner in the mission. Not a cameo. A full geopolitical collaborator with NASA, sharing data, tech, and launch infrastructure. That entire angle disappeared once Hollywood entered the period where studios aggressively sanitized Chinese geopolitics to protect theatrical access. The final film pretends the rest of the world barely exists. Jonathan Nolan’s script included a half-finished orbital station that was supposed to be humanity’s lifeboat. It was constantly short on supplies, funding, and political support. The story kept cutting back to the crew in orbit as time dilation wrecked their schedule. Every hour Cooper’s team lost near the black hole meant months slipping by for the station. You watched the project stall, governments abandon it, and the population lose hope while the mission was stuck in relativistic time traps. Spielberg’s version had actual aliens. The wormhole was created by an external intelligence, not future humans. The crew eventually finds a physical alien device that contains the key to manipulating gravity. Solving gravity was not a bootstrap paradox. It was reverse engineering alien tech. The script treated it like a first-contact mystery with a scientific payoff, not a closed time loop. The Spielberg draft ended with the crew using the alien device to complete the gravity solution and transmit it back to Earth in time to save the orbital station. Humanity escapes because of alien intervention and human ingenuity working together. No tesseract. No future humans. No metaphysical father-daughter communication through time. It was a straight sci-fi rescue story with geopolitical stakes and a clear external mystery.

So Ive been a Costco member for about 15 years now, but never tried their hot dog, pizza, or chicken bake even though they are cheap as hell. $8 for all of this. My wife and I ate a couple bites and we threw it in the trash. I can see why its so cheap, it’s freaking disgusting! 2/10, wouldn’t recommend at all!

Christopher Nolan never explained the ending of Interstellar (2014). When asked if Cooper’s reunion with his daughter was real, he said, “You have to see it yourself. It's there. I know what I think but it’s no more valid than yours.” The emotion matters more than the answer.
