@Grassrootgamez Red for losing control flying in, and his chavvy arrogance after would suggest it was intentional. However, does he touch him? Is the pink player having a seizure on the floor? And I count 2.5 rolls on the floor.

@Grassrootgamez @beetle_persona @bealolufc It’s an amateur game. Irrelevant if it’s played on a Saturday or Sunday. Clearly hates his life and wants to take it out on others.👍

@Grassrootgamez @beetle_persona @bealolufc It’s pretty simple There’s no need for it at all. To many big bollock Billy’s in Sunday league who take it out on others because they had to much to drink the night before and hate their life

There is also a massive difference between saying something and actually doing it .. As I said .. it’s open age football, I’ve heard much worse things been said .. and you will have as well So many people crying over a box standard tackle and a couple of words .. even the young lad wasn’t this bothered

@Grassrootgamez @beetle_persona @bealolufc Won the ball by giving away a throw in? There’s a massive difference between saying sit down and I’ll go for your legs No my job isn’t talking football, it’s coaching it at a professional EFL academy.

Hi Martin, I completely agree that aggressive defending forces players to evolve and optimise their decision making with the ball and enables players to adapt to the intensity of the elite game. My issue less the tackle - more what is said after it - in South America for example there is equal respect shown for the physical and dark sides of the game as well as the geniuses and the flair element - it is celebrated to show off your flair but at the same time be prepared to fight for it. Even over there they don’t always get the balance right in certain eras which has led to philosophical debates. I believe Brazil has over emphasised physicality in terms of toughness in certain areas of the pitch and lost its sense of self in some ways. In England we have historically not celebrated flair, technicians like Hoddle and Gascoigne are one in a million. I believe in the modern game England have made strides forward, academy wise there is more emphasis on technical development but I believe the wider culture around the grassroots game still needs improvement if we are to unearth the gems who haven’t necessarily been sanitised by being put through academy system too early and battle hardened but not stripped of their ability to express themselves through being worn down by physical threats but also coaches who aren’t encouraging players to showcase their skills. It would widen the player pool. Ultimately we see when England go toe to toe with big nations or even in club football, very rarely do you see the English side totally out football an opponent through sheer dominance of technical superiority.

Until the English game and the culture in general doesn’t eradicate these cavemen we are never going to develop the courage to be braver on the ball as we are mouthy off it.

@Grassrootgamez I don’t think half the people in the replies, have ever actually played a competitive game of football. I remember from high school through to Sunday league, you’d have characters that would go in hard on challenges and talk a lot of shit. It’s always been part of the game 🤷🏻‍♂️
