Because when they do it it’s pure. When Black men do it, there’s like a 50/50 chance they have internalized self-hate or genuine contempt for Black women. Even as a mixed woman, I’ve had Black men assume I’m a safe space to disclose their hate for Black woman and express that they’d never date one. It’s mad weird and very upsetting.
