Look at the body language from KD here. This is just one example, and honestly, not even the most egregious one. We see this constantly when Sengun operates in the post, KD acts entitled to every possession, only to disappear in the clutch or dump grenades on Sengun when the clock winds down. You might be open to shoot but you gotta let Sengun going after coming from the injury as if you himself always do the right thing on the offense. How can Sengun find his rhythm if you keep bitching like a high school boy? @KDTrey5, you have to learn how to defer at 37 years old. You can't demand high usage during the flow of the game all the time and then shrink from responsibility when it matters. That visible frustration is toxic, and it's actively eroding Sengun's confidence. Check the ego. Rockets aren't building their future around a 37 year old, and we've already seen how stagnant the offense looks when you monopolize the ball without Sengun. You won't win anything with Rockets if you keep eroding Sengun's confidence.

One thing is for sure: KD's poor body language has been killing Sengun's confidence ever since the NOLA game. KD seems more concerned with protecting his efficiency than winning, he demands the ball but refuses to elevate his co-star, and the results speak for themselves. Alongside Udoka, he's the main reason "SenHub" was abandoned. They literally scapegoated Sengun for missing that single clutch shot. KD plays for himself, Sengun actually makes everyone around him better. This is why KD needed Steph to win his rings. He's an elite bucket getter, but you can't win it all if you make him the entire focal point of the offense.

The Lakers are unlikely to trade their 2032 first-round pick for an upgrade at the deadline, per @DanWoikeSports “If we’re speaking in a technical sense, the Lakers’ 2032 first-round pick is probably their most valuable trade asset. However, trading that pick would lock the team’s ability to trade the 2031 pick now and the 2033 pick this summer. There is a very simple answer to many of the Lakers issues, but it would require a masterclass on people skills, empathy and coaching from JJ. And he has to be willing to lose his job. Like really being okay with it.
