@jusLikeMike911 Wasn’t this song a hit though? I don’t know how it fared in America but it did pretty well in Europe from what I remember. Stole was a great song for its time, if anything it gave Kelly some credibility. Dilemma was cute but Stole gave her some addd depth and room to vocalise
English

Brave of her to be the first member to go solo

@Laserz2025 Brandy is a phenomenal singer who danced here and there but she was never a dancer of note in truth, moreso a singer given choreography. Aaliyah might not have had 8 x counts during her debut era but from her natural rhythm in Back &’ Forth it was always clear she could dance
English

You have to take this up with Brandy because she’s the one that said Bey made her wanna step up her dancing skills.
starjayyy ✨@starjayyy3
Brandy BEEN dancing since her DEBUT. Just a reminder since people love to erase history.
English

@MrJeromeTrammel Oh pls.., 🤣
🎶I know you like it (I know you like it) it’s easy to see (it’s easy to see). That’s why whenever they come around you’re talking PCD🎶

@GraysonFoxx If I squint & close my eyes, I’m falling asleep after the 4 PCD songs I know..
English

@starjayyy3 As a Brandy fan, she was definitely influenced by Beyoncé during the Afro era. Musically not at all, her music was better. But for some reason her and Benny decided everything about her image and presentation needed to be Beyoncé-fied. Brandy dances but isn’t a natural IMhO
English

@moonprismpwrrr @AaliyahLegion Basically giving the “Fair Maiden” archetype a similar modern millennial twist in Try Again that she gave “Juliet” in Romeo. Rapunzel saying have another stab at climbing the tower before I let down my silky conditioned tresses
English

@AaliyahLegion tbh it’s still an inspo song she’s giving her muse a pep talk to keep going until he wins her over🙂↕️

You all need to stop acting like The Pussycat Dolls isn’t one of the most successful girlsbands of all time and that this reunion doesn’t make sens just because it’s not the lineup you want.
English

@keith_zip These cakes should be in the conversation too. Mbappe, Algarez and.., ?

Thank you doll🤘🏾☺️

@PopCulture2000s Everything about this is literally perfect. Aaliyah was a next level artist. She was taking us and music some place new. That is why she is still important after all these years. She was doing something so out the box in Black music and it was cool asf in real-time. She did that
English

@MissSassbox @Aaliyah_Fanatic Aaliyah had a sensual command of her body. She hit every mark w/ a slinky unbothered shrug. Her fluid hips, deep soulful stare. Black yet exotic beauty. All that came through in her calm, slinky, complex moves. Not everyone could do her choreography justice, she was her own thing
English

that Fatima Robinson choreography was so infinitely smooth, and the way Aaliyah would hit her counts was just captivating to watch. she made it look like she was just effortlessly flowing on the beat every time.

@chocolateshelf @MericaGottaProb @brandnriah @kbyrd2_ Like I said, landing on the U.K. charts with dross material isn’t difficult. As a PCD though, Nicole slays every time
English

@GraysonFoxx @MericaGottaProb @brandnriah @kbyrd2_ In 🇬🇧, their album is literally the best selling girl group album to be released in the 21st century. That record would be by someone else in 🇺🇸.
Nicole’s first 3 singles going #3-#1-#3 - that run from a debut album for a foreign artist rare.
Maybe try again.
English

@offtaylorgray @jamesearl23 💯She goes from being Nicole Scherzinger to NICOLE!
English

@jamesearl23 It’s actually quite an enigma. Seeing her on stage doing the exact same thing but with girls behind her just makes her more intriguing 😭
English

To me, PCD’s appeal is the “dance troupe/army of bad bitches” strutting fiercely across the stage vibe
they should have launched a come back with MORE girls lol. like 9 of them in total.
The more dolls there are, the more Nicole stands out in a strange way

English

@Coolness941 It’s iconic tbh, to even have the PCD to fall back on is pretty amazing in itself. They really cemented themselves in the public consciousness all those years ago. They’ll forever be “Your Dad’s Favourite Girl Band” but cos they’re such talented performers they sell it with verve
English

Nicole winning A TONY then jumping right back into PCD territory is so hilarious and kinda sad at the same time.

@chocolateshelf @MericaGottaProb @brandnriah @kbyrd2_ Anyone can achieve a top ten in the U.K.😭 U.K. audiences were there for her but her material was ass. Poison was awful. PCD were somewhat sophisticated & certainly adult. It was the level of maturity audiences wanted from her. It COULD have worked but the direction was weak
English

@MericaGottaProb @brandnriah @kbyrd2_ her solo stuff was hugely succesful in the UK, where pcd were more successful, so..
