It's International Pinot Noir Day!🍷Burgundy in France is both the spiritual home and holy grail of Pinot Noir (and Chardonnay). We have been in the midst of our annual allocation campaign for the 2021 vintage of Burgundy wines.

@gregsherwoodmw @mattwallswine @elitistreview A few on the right bank are already doing it( certainly direct to importers vs La Place). I think it’s more difficult for left bank folk to adopt this route to market though, due to their larger production volumes.

Wine merchants that sell direct to consumer should always include duty and VAT in their pricing. Quoting In Bond pricing is unhelpful at best, misleading at worst.

Phew, another big decrease in EP price with Mouton Rothschild 2023 being released . 37% down on last years price. That’s pretty significant. Now to see how much of a difference it makes with the uptake from the market…..

@ngcebs1 A combo of things but Bordeaux generally make big volumes of wine (certainly the left bank) and they need to sell wine! Also the economic climate as well some other EP vintages having been released at overinflated prices leaving stock behind in their cellars etc.
