The sad truth is that even in comic book spaces that should be more evolved than other media landscapes, women actors, writers, artists, and directors still have to do three times the work to get a fraction of the credit, and in an exponentially expanding virtual landscape where the lowest common denominator is courted and women are targeted, we’re going to continue to see these stories play out. Supergirl is a perfect example of how content creators have ruined the experience of anticipating and seeing a comic book movie, spewing out a steady stream of negativity, speculation, rumor-mongering, and doom forecasting. Combine that with the reality that 90 percent of these creators are dudes or women trying to draw their gaze, and a female-led superhero movie faces impossible scrutiny. Ain't just game devs these days. So many characters in media just straight up suck, and when I look up the creator, it's just the fuggen character but somehow even less interesting. Books, movies, shows, games—it's across the board.

I’ve been to Australia many times and it was only recently I’ve learned that there is a substantial subset of Australians who deeply dislike Americans. I find that really strange. Generally Americans either love Australians or have no opinion of them. I’m in the first set.

To be an anti-Israel Jew, you must, by default, be uneducated about what Jews are, what Israel means to Jews, and the reality of life on the ground in Israel. Anyone of any background who is genuinely educated in those three areas cannot possibly be anti-Israel. Just calling a spade a spade.

Late to the party, but I finally saw Masters of the Universe. It was a full-blown comedy, legitimately funny, and Skeletor was the absolute highlight of the whole thing! My ONLY complaint is that they didn't save What's Up for the final fight's power up moment. Loved it.

@GreavesEc @LordTBR_FFA The community, such as it is, is pretty fickle, and there’s a lot of clout chasing on here. Tbh, it’s enough to dissuade me from reading the next big indie title, because I’ve been burned several times.

Just an observation: It’s wild how you can help promote and prop people up for years and develop, what you thought to be, genuine friendships, only to be dropped for the shiny new thing and easily forgotten - ignored even.
