Therapy doesn't work for normal men. Women are wired to talk through things. Therapy is for them. Men are wired to act. You can't fix what's wrong with a man by talking, he needs to act to right himself. I'm not referring to mental illness. Chemical imbalances and such certainly need professional help and possibly medication. I'm still not convinced that talking therapy is useful to a mentally ill man, but I'll concede that it's more likely to help him than it would a normal man.

Don’t go to therapy. Fix your diet and get some exercise. Spend more time outdoors. You’ll feel infinitely better after a week than you would after 10 years of therapy.

@AMSyper @amelia_tweetz Who said anything about them being unable to support themselves? I specifically said that I'm teaching them how to maintain generational wealth. Are you unfamiliar with the concept of generational wealth?

My friend told me his parents want to sell everything they own, travel, enjoy retirement, and leave nothing behind for the kids. He said they’re telling him, ‘We worked for this our whole lives. We’d rather spend it making memories than leave an inheritance.’ I honestly didn’t know what to say. Do you think that’s fair?

I expanded on my point. And I'm not wrong about this being on brand for boomers. I will and have done anything and everything for my children. I'm creating generational wealth, and teaching them how to keep generational wealth going. Like I said, the only thing that makes any sense is a legacy that makes things better for my descendants.

Moved to Texas this spring. I like Texas a lot, but it's playing catch up. Florida is already fixed. Texas needs a lot of fixing. Texas has so many little taxes and fees, the DMV reminds me of Illinois, and the state still has a lot of influence in your life. I'm making a go of it here, but I already know I'll be fighting to make Texas more like Florida. Texas likes to act like it's the home of liberty. It's not.

Texan boyfriend just came back from a trip where he briefly visited Florida. He has announced to me that we need to move there. When I asked him why he said, "I don't know, it just felt like where I'm supposed to be." I think he yearns to be Florida Man. 😂😂😂

The scrub daddy, scrub mommy like of products are just another subtle way the patriarchy shoves sexist behavioral standards down women's throats every single day. For those who aren't aware, "scrub mommy" includes a 'softer side' which is noticeably absent from "scrub daddy." This sends a clear message that women are expected to be soft and demure while men are free to remain harsh and avoidant. To market products that are used for women's work in such a sexist manner is insidious and destructive messaging to women and girls.
