Start of the discussion of the technical panel with companies from cement, aluminium, steel, and agrochemical sectors moderated by Ludo Diels @ASPIRE_P4Planet at the final event of @retrofeedEU project COMET Louise in Brussels.

👥Lastly, Tutku Özen from ASAS, explains how the Instanbul-based company has increased the energy efficiency & resource efficiency in the aluminium sector respectively by 18% and 57%, by enabling alternative raw materials while maintaining competitive, high-performance equipment.

“Energy Efficiency is great, as at the end of the day, he cheaper and most environmental energy is the one we don’t use.” Ludo Diels @ASPIRE_P4Planet, kicking off the panel discussion on challenges for the partners and potential for replication of #Retrofeed in other sectors.

👥 Mircea Blaga from @SILCOTUB @Tenaris were able to integrate the #retrofeed methodology in the industrial process. On a personal note, Mircel was impressed by the complexity of the activities and the commitment of the partners from different sectors around 1 technology.

🌟 Ângela Nunes, from SECIL, underscores #RETROFEED's contribution to the cement sector's environmental goals, reducing CO2 emissions by 11%. 🏗️ During the project, a new design for an industrial burner was developed & installed together with new sensors.

Lucía Fernandez @EU_HaDEA kicks off the RETROFEED event, and talks about SPIRE Partnerships and the need of adapting to increased variety of resource feedstock & energy efficiency improvements. "Project like #Retrofeed contribute to achieving the climate neutrality by 2050".
