Dear councils, Can you help give pollinators like bees and butterflies a chance? 97% of UK meadows are gone. So this year, please don't over-mow wildflowers on roadverges and in public spaces and don't spray them with weedkiller - let them grow instead 🐝

Last week outside Kennington Lane’s Housing Office we built and painted raised planters from reclaimed scaffold boards - to make the office a little more welcoming and attractive. Well done all!

😡This is shocking @lambeth_council contractor discard concrete in our planter instead of using the general waste bins adjacent. I trust Lambeth will insist the contractor remove discarded concrete and as a goodwill gesture to plant a few bedding plants. @DavidAmosSE11 @SE11

This was a lovely surprise when picking blackberries - a Jersey Tiger Moth! This is the third of these striking moths I've seen in Kennington in the last few weeks; they seem to be thriving in the area. @GreenerKenning1
