@WarMonitors People aren’t stupid, this is disgusting. You talk about life like it’s a video game, you’re completely detached from the reality of peoples suffering and sacrifice.

@WarMonitors You talk as if Iran and Lebanon started this war. Hezb spent 15 months not firing a bullet and let the government try “diplomacy”, do you expect them just to be well behaved victims of constant assassinations and bombing against civilians in the south forever?

@WarMonitors How are you crediting this ceasefire to the Lebanese government, and not to Irans leverage and inclusion of Lebanon in a regional settlement framework? Genuinely curious.

As soon as a ceasefire is declared (if) 1) hezbos will declare divine victory and celebrate like there is no tomorrow 2)hezbos will claim Iran saved the universe 3) they will flock to the south in droves and try to overrun israeli positions and get killed in the process then cry about warcrimes Bookmark this

@WarMonitors Wtf happened to the guy running this page lol surely he doesn’t really think it was pressure from the Lebanese government that achieved a ceasefire 😂

Thank God we have a competent president who is able against all odds to actually negotiate a ceasefire and stop the pointless killing of innocent Lebanese civilians by the Israeli occupation.

@lucasoscarx @Maronidd You didn’t even achieve anything lol it was just another failed attempt at dismantling the Lebanese resistance, they were even stronger this time than 2024. Even as a nuclear power and a proxy of the US, still couldn’t eradicate a non-state actor so I really wouldn’t be gloating

@thebeirutbanyan It’s far more rational than supporting the people invading your own country, demolishing entire villages, killing thousands of your own citizens. The ones that cheered that on against their own country are the ones that should be ostracised moving forward.

No reconciliation with civil society voices that defended Hezbollah’s weapons. They knew better & wilfully chose to pander “I support anyone that fights Israel” has to be the dumbest sentence I’ve heard in person, especially when it comes from an AUB political science professor

If the President of the Lebanese Republic doesn’t have the balls to speak directly with Benjamin Netanyahu, then tell Israel the President of Mount Lebanon will.

@Artsi135247 @SkyNews @AlexCrawfordSky What a ridiculous take. This is in downtown, and calling those attending the protest “not indigenous” is just sectarian bs. You think Achrafieh is the only indigenous Lebanese?

@Georges__Haddad I’m not sure how the Lebanese government have more leverage than Iran in terms of securing a regional security framework. Like you said, the Lebanese government can’t really offer anything other than normalisation which many consider a betrayal, or willingly creating a civil war.

Proposing the recognition of Israel, dismantling Hezbollah's arsenal with the support of other countries - thus providing security and stability on the border. Hezbollah, through Iran, has also nothing to propose to Israel and is in a position of weakness (Israel doesn't want it armed anymore).

If a ceasefire is announced, then followed by serious peace talks, that would simply mean that Israel will not occupy South Lebanon - what will happen is a negotiation to see Israeli troops leave the areas it took control of - and that is the truth. No one wants to see the South occupied besides a tiny tiny minority of extremists.

@lebachiriste I’m just glad that far-right Maronites are only a small minority, and that you’re unable to exert enough power as a community to carry out the bigoted, discriminatory acts that you wish you could. Fortunately most of the country dont want to persecute refugees or ally with Israel

You work and live in Lebanon as a westerner that is only exposed to a Palestinian point of view, a Palestinian narrative. You do not have any proper Lebanese background to understand the subject through your own life experience, neither did you do any proper research on it in your own time to understand it through a broader and just lens - that is not reduced to the piss-poor "Palestinian" victim lens. You work to cater to the needs of an invading foreign body, armed to the neck and up, that continues to claim Lebanese casualties every now and then, and that take part in in-fighting for power in their camps. We apologized, that is more than enough. We do not owe the Palestinian people anything, on a moral, political, social or onerous level. If they are unhappy with their living conditions, they are free to leave Lebanon wherever the wind takes them.

I grew up in Lebanon hearing, in graphic detail, what Palestinian invaders did to Lebanese people of all sects and backgrounds. Notably, Christians were massacred and slaughtered by them. The Christians fought back and survived by sheer miracle and resistance, but the terror they carried never left their history and communities. This isn’t abstract history for me, in degenerate books and testimonies, owners of the land are painted as villains and the invaders as victims.

I grew up in Lebanon hearing, in graphic detail, what his group did to Palestinian and Lebanese women. Two of my own aunties were seconds away from being raped and slaughtered by them. They survived by sheer miracle l, but the terror they carried never left our family. This isn’t abstract history for me. It’s in my book, with the full weight it deserves.

@Libnani1989 @lebachiriste You’re so brainwashed. People like you never blame the root cause, you blame the symptom. Palestinians don’t even want to be in Lebanon, they want to go home. The only reason they’re here is because of Israel, but you would never blame your ally, with your US/eagle profile photo.

@Greeners95 @lebachiriste you ignorant moron, what were the armed PLO doing in Lebanon? they "relocated" to Lebanon and started fighting with some Sunnis against Christians THEY WANTED TO WIPE US OUT. Massacres happened by both sides but they were the invaders.

@lebachiriste “Apologising” for massacring thousands of civilians doesn’t make you morally superior. Even now, you can only stretch yourself to saying it was “perhaps” a mistake. Your assumptions of me are also wrong, I live and work in Lebanon, and funnily enough, the photo is from Shatila.

Shia militias also conducted similar operations against Palestinians on Lebanese soil, they did not apologize for such actions, on the other hand, the Christians did. While such actions can be criticized and were perhaps a mistake - which is why exactly you are able to reply to me with this argument - that in no way invalidates my point. Palestinians were welcomed in Lebanon originally as temporary refugees. Not only did they stay, but they formed militias to combat Israel from our land, expropriating Lebanese southerners from their homes and livelihoods to commit such acts of terror. Not only that, the Palestinians paid back for the hospitality by raping, murdering and kidnapping men, women and children in the South from all sects and backgrounds. Moreover, whatever "atrocities" could have been committed by the Lebanese against Palestinians, they were perpetrated on Lebanese soil, against foreign bodies, who did not belong on Lebanese soil in the first place. They wished to take our country, our land in the hopes of replacing what they "lost" to Israel, we did not agree. It comes as simple as that. Finally, your name is Jake, you are a westerner. From your profile, it looks like you work in humanitarian associations for Palestinians. The knowledge you have on Palestinians and their history - generously assuming that you have any - comes from Wikipedia, media outlets, and the unique observation of the Palestine-Israel conflict. The knowledge you have on Lebanon and our history as Lebanese - also assuming you have any - comes exclusively from Wikipedia pages and media outlets that suit your narrative. We will not be taking your Sunday history lesson, because you are biased and have piss-poor knowledge of the events whatsoever.

@Hraoui17 You’re sick in the head. You think you’re a nationalist but it’s even against your own constitution to normalise with the occupation. And here you are supporting them while they’re invading your own country and killing your own women and children. Pathetic.
