PRESIDENT TRUMP PREACHES THE GOSPEL On Good Friday, the Son of God was nailed to the cross, crucified, and he died. For all of us, it was a day of darkness, but it wasn't the end. By any means, it was not the end. On Easter Sunday, the stone was rolled away and the grave was empty. Christians everywhere rejoiced, and we continue to rejoice. Easter is one of the incredible days. It was the miracle in all of history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was one of the great... It was the great miracle, I guess, right? The great miracle. He told his followers, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Because of the events of Holy Week twenty centuries ago, people from every nation, language, and background can take on any difficulty, press through any trial, and endure any hardship. With Christ, not one thing can separate humanity from the powers of God's everlasting love.

@TPUSA @JackPosobiec They want you to kneel, they want you to bow down, but not to the Savior, not to the King, not to Christ, not to God, to their dogma: hatred culture, racist ideology, culture wars, wealth and corruption, corruption and power, bow down to all that.

At a Turning Point USA event at GW in DC tonight, @PressSec talks about how she started as an intern in the first Trump admin but then “unfortunately” Biden was “installed” as the President in 2021.

I appreciate much that the Trump administration has done to recognize our historical Christian roots and acknowledge how important those values and virtues are going to be to keeping America strong. But as much as we appreciate President Trump, we should never liken him to our savior. Trump needs Jesus as much as we all do.
The American Conservative@amconmag

Paula White, leader of the White House Faith Office, speaks about President Trump: "You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us. You will be victorious in all you put your hand to because God is using you."

Have I ever told y’all that my mother prayed for my 4 siblings and me daily and faithfully long into our adulthood and, as she spoke our names to the Lord, gave him our addresses? It did no good for me to say to her, Mom, God knows where we live. She’d say, YOU HAVE COMMON NAMES.

A couple of prayer requests this morning. My friend Nahum is fighting the same cancer I am. We are both stage four. So I am praising God for a good report for him this morning, and I ask for continued prayers that he will be completely and miraculously healed of this cancer. Two, tomorrow I have my first scan since being re-staged to stage four. It’s been a stressful time and the scans cause a lot of anxiety, I’ll admit. So if I could ask for prayers for God’s peace and freedom from anxiety. And also that tomorrow, my scan will be clean, and there will be no more unpleasant surprises! Thanks friends.
Nahum O'Brien@NahumOBrien

Health Update: The latest scan (23 Mar) revealed that the four concerning cancerous lymph nodes are stable, which is to say they haven’t grown, most have decreased in activity, with no additional spread. In light of this, the plan moving forward is possible radiation and/… 1/7

@KaeleyT No, you are badly misunderstanding what the Pope represents to the Catholic faith. And maybe the Pope understands a little about oppression and injustice and the tradition of Just War, since that is a theological concept created by the Catholic fathers Augustine and Aquinas.

The pope is wrong. He doesn’t have the authority to arbitrarily decide whose prayers get heard. It’s also wrong to accuse people of “waging war” if what they’re actually doing is trying to stop oppression and injustice. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2…

@WilliamWolfe Yup. Absolutely pull up the "not today" quote from LOTR because that's where you think you stand. Also: you don't. Try the "no man" quote and see where that lands you.

A quick "thank you" to my many friends today: There's a great quote, often attributed to Winston Churchill, that goes, "You have enemies? Good. It means you've stood up for something in your life." Another version, perhaps from Oscar Wilde, says, "You can always judge a man by the quality of his enemies." As a fighter by disposition (something I've never hid from or pretended I wasn't), these quotes do speak to me. I won't deny that. People oppose me? Oppose you? Good! It means we are standing for something. Standing for what's good and true against the evil forces and underhanded operatives of our day. Yes, please judge me by my enemies. Judge me by the one enemy in particular who has been obsessively attacking me for the last 72 hours. He's launched 10+ posts on X, spread his poison on a national news show, dedicated an entire Substack article to impugning me with unverified, gossipy (and made-up) claims, and topped it all off with another post today! Psychotic and reeking of desperation doesn't even begin to describe it. In the scales of that judgement, I am more than happy to accept the verdict of my character in relation to this enemy. But today was a day for my friends. Judge me by my enemies, yes. But judge me 10x more for the caliber of friends that, in God's grace, I have had the privilege to make both on here and in real life. And today, my friends, you rode to my aid. Thank you for the many texts. The many calls. The DMs. Many from pastors (amazing, I know!). Many from current and former coworkers, allies, and church members! And for flooding my enemies' scurrilous attacks on me with cheerful, hilarious (some of them side-splittingly so), decent, and kind words in my defense. Defenses of both my character and of the work we labor to do together at @BaptistLeaders and in the broader political arena. Proverbs 17:17 tells us that "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." Today, more of you than I count, proved yourselves as not just friends, but brothers. Busy days, with odd twists and turns, always have a way of surprising us. Today was just such a day for me. I was excited to get our latest article up, and I was occupied laboring to edit it, post it, and circulate it, because - and I know I say this about so much of what we publish at CBL - but man, it was just that good. And if you think about it, pray for my Mom. As many of you know, she is in a wheelchair. Today, in the midst of these vile volleys from the enemy, she took an unexpected fall out of her chair while she was over at my house, helping my 8-months-along pregnant wife with our boys! Why do we do leg day, gents? Not for the ladies, but to help our moms when they need it! And this afternoon, helping my mom took precedence over all else. But here and there, as I could, I took a few glances at the melee, and saw my brothers joining the firefight to cover my six. It gave me great courage and comfort! Now, I just want to relax with my family and watch the Duke game. So I will. But I will relax knowing that the pay-for-play attack from some of the worst elements in woke evangelicalism and the failed NeoCon side of the Republican Party (which we are never going back to) failed. And they failed not because of me. But because God is good. And my friends are not just my friends, they are my brothers.
