@danheld No government monopoly ever works well. Air traffic control is too important and valuable to allow government to forbid private solutions in order to maintain their unnatural and ineffective monopoly.

The aircraft collision in NYC could have been easily avoided. We fact that we still route aircraft just with verbal communication is absurd. Routing could all be automated and even the piloting of the aircraft could be automated.

@heresyfinancial TSA is a government mandated monopoly. In a free society, freedom of action should always be the default. As there is zero evidence that a mandated monopoly structure is necessary, TSA should be abolished - irrespective of the current situation.

@billybinion @Lieboisout There was a time when the Left was clearly collectivist and the Right was “collectivist light” with a veneer of individualism. The veneer is gone - it’s just two collectivist gangs fighting over the spoils of government grift - virtually indistinguishable from one another

I’ve been reliably informed many times over the last year that only the left cheers when their political opponents die. Does the president count?

@andy_buksterlin @VoluntaryOnly Because US citizens endorsed Government forcible monopoly takeover of airport security - same as why we are occasionally held hostage by air traffic controllers - and why helicopters run into passenger jets when antiquated government monopoly air traffic systems fail

I know this is gonna sound crazy, but why don’t we just fly like it’s 1999. Why do people’s travels have to be impeded because of security theater that should have been dismantled years ago?

@LawrenceLepard @porterstansb California has term limits. It’s the perfect mechanism for concentration of power under political parties. In most cases, the Democratic Party would win the turf war. Repealing the 17th Amendment is a much better idea.

I want everyone to remember that everything we are about to experience as a country was simple to avoid. We have failed at the basics of civilization, and so, we are going to be destroyed: 1. Don’t initiate violence. For the last 60 years, we’ve been the aggressor in every conflict. Doesn’t make us safer. 2. No representation without equity. When you can vote yourself my property without contributing yours, there is no liberty. 3. If you don’t kill the criminals, they will kill you. Empathy for victims. No mercy for perpetrators — or their families. Find a rope. And make their families pay reparations. Crime will disappear. 5. Citizenship must be earned: contribute to society, have children, pay taxes for 10 years, no criminals. Then you’re a citizen. 6. Everything you let the government do, will suck. Post office. Amtrak. Schools. Privatize all government functions with 10-year competitive bids. 7. Never allow the government to borrow money or print it. Where the government controls both the sword and the currency, there will be no freedom. What did I leave out?

@Lieboisout If you want a rational person to support the war, show them Dave Smith; if you want to argue that the US government is incompetent to lead any war of any type on any country, Trump and Lynsey Graham will do the trick!

@Lieboisout What I find depressing is that when I hear most pro-war arguments, my impulse is to be strongly against it; in contrast, when I hear the anti-war argument, I can’t help but feel in favor of it! 99% of the arguments are based on deeply flawed reasoning

It seems that whatever happens, virtually every side claims to be correct. Consider the recent attempted Iranian strike on Diego Garcia: War supporters: See, this shows Irans missiles can go much farther than they claimed. War opponents: See, they couldn’t even hit their target. War supporters: Look, Iran is a dangerous threat, and will attack our bases. War opponents: Look, they had these missiles already, but they didn’t use them until we attacked them. War supporters: These missiles could hit Europe! War opponents: I thought Trump didn’t want to be the world’s police, and was pissed that European countries don’t pull their weight! Whichever side you’re on, can you see the valid points of the other side?

@karol Perhaps we should hand it over to the Department of Motor Vehicles - at least it would be an improvement over TSA

Unpopular opinion: Despite the obvious fact that Democrats are disgusting for holding DHS families hostage without pay, The bulk of TSA “security” at airports is absurd kabuki theater—miserable and utterly worthless taxpayer waste. Privatize airline security. Abolish TSA.

Just get government out of the travel industry and this ceases being a possibility. People who never took a commercial flight in the 1990’s have no idea what they’re missing.
Matt Van Swol@mattvanswol

🚨#BREAKING: Over 30% of Houston TSA agents have now called out sick, causing absolutely UNREAL video footage of TSA wait times in Houston which peaked at over 200 minutes long. Houston is now telling flyers to come 3 HOURS EARLY to the airport. PURE INSANITY!!!!!!

@chrismartenson Yes. All airports should be private, security private, air traffic control private, and the FAA and TSA abolished. It’s so intolerable to fly, I drive most everywhere except 1,000+ mile destinations

Its been said: "Democracy fails when the majority finally understands they can vote themselves the wealth of the minority." But, that did not account for American culture, where the majority (of both parties) want OPPORTUNITY, not HANDOUTS. The Democrats in Congress, however, now understand: "Democracy can grant us ultimate power if we import enough NEW people dependent upon us" To restore our government to serving the public, therefore, the FIRST step is to restore election integrity by insuring only CITIZENS can exercise their right to vote.

Fred - you are spot on but I can't wait for the day when adult men on Twitter can be brave enough to say what needs to be said. I've taken for granted how freeing it is not to be afraid of weirdo loyalists. We are spending 1 Billion per day due to the decision making of Trump, a 5 time draft dodger with zero understanding of military and global affairs, only bankrupting 6 casinos and a paid actor on the Apprentice. Hegseth - Fox weekend co-host, National Guard overseeing platoon of 30 men but looks good on TV and Trumps YES man. Wee......the longer we PUSSY foot around the much needed talkign point....the more Time, LIves and MONEY
