Excited to discuss the client onboarding experience by creating automations using @_FinancialCents and @ignitionapp next week! A great topic to help save time and help improve the client experience.

Tax season finished a couple weeks ago and it was the smoothest ever. First time requiring 50% deposits upfront with @ignitionapp (no client complaints) and a bigger team requires us to change process and workflow system. Excited to get @_FinancialCents up and running.

@littlefishcpa @cordes_tax Partly that. Most our students who volunteered got tax internships instead. Plus about eight area sites shutdown this year due to not having enough grant funds or not pursing an IRS grant. The biggest of those shutdown sites did about 2,000 returns a year.

@GregS990 @cordes_tax Is it a matter of not having enough preparers?

I was told that as of Feb 20 there are no more available appointments for our 3 free tax preparation sites in my area. 🫣😔 I really feel bad for those that need it. But I can’t help all that need it.

@mikelibbey_ I second @cordes_tax. I’ve used PayrollRelief for years. Does pretty well and I have a relatively high profit margin with my payroll offerings.

@T_Hernn I did this last year and it was one of the best decisions. Saving a ton in paper and toner as well.

@JacobBSchroeder @ignitionapp @clickup I wish they had a store. I'd spend more than I needed to. I won it when I replied to a tweet of theirs a couple of months ago. I think they run free giveaways often.

As tax season kicks off, several changes are made to help this season become more successful. No clients have complained about paying a 50% deposit up front (thanks to @ignitionapp to manage this), a solid workflow management system in place (@clickup), and hardcore capacity management/calendar blocking (thanks to @JasonMBlumer and @juliegshipp's training) done. Personally, trying out @rize_io thanks to the inspiration by @LoganGrafTax to help manage a healthy work/life balance during the next few months. Here's hoping this season goes well!

@TheNFTCPA @ignitionapp @clickup I know a feature request for subfolders in ClickUp has been submitted and I think it's on the radar to complete. Something I've been waiting for as well. There are so many different ways to use it and set up the program. Happy to jump on a call sometime to talk through them!

@GregS990 @ignitionapp @clickup Good luck this tax season. Anyone willing to share how they use/setup @clickup feels like lack of Subfolders is holding me from really using it or I could be over thinking it.

@9to5Accountant @ignitionapp @clickup I haven't used AI with ClickUp yet as I've been putting together my workflows, but it is on my task list to explore over the summer after tax season. From what I understand and seen, it has some great things that could work for my firm.

@W_Holtsman @TaxDome_TD I use TaxDome for my client portal and organizers only. Workflow is done in ClickUp because TaxDome doesn’t have capacity planning. Debating on Ignition or TaxDome for the engagement letter and payment collection process. Would love to do everything in one spot eventually.

The wildcard in all of this is @TaxDome_TD. It looks like it's trying to wrap a lot of services into one platform. Does it do a good enough job though or is it just mediocre at a lot of different things?

@Calendly for scheduling but haven't explored this in detail yet. I like the idea of clients being able to book themselves after signing the EL & paying a deposit.
