Apparently, next season is going to kick off with Nova playing Notre Dame in Rome in front of the Pope. At least that was the plan.

@Greg_OConnor4 @TNTSportsUS He just proved his lack of leadership skills. As a UMD grad, we witness his toxicity towards the end. From a prestigious school like Villanova, they shouldn’t stand for his behavior. If he makes it as coach by the end of the tournament, I’ll be surprised.

@jonpenn7 @TNTSportsUS The problem is, he’s not playing the game he needs to play. He did a good job in his first season, but in this era it’s about attracting talent through the portal and investment dollars from friends of the program with deep pockets. His “joke” does not play well for either.

@JamieSlonis Was at Sawgrass yesterday. You might be talking about 16 where there was a breeze promoting big roll out for guys cutting the corner / slinging draws. Fairways are definitely tight so not much moisture in the fairway roots. Conversely, against the wind I saw roll outs of 10 ft.

There’s a lot to factor in when it comes to the distance debate in professional golf, but I just watched a tee shot at the Players bounce & roll about 60 yards. I don’t think I’ve played a single round in the past five years w/conditions that allow for that type of run out.

@FalveyKStars You are not wrong. Some fans think they are entitled to perfection. The coaches on the other bench deserve credit too when they do their job and make our coach look bad. There is something to be said for rallying around your team and cheering louder when they need to improve.

Distraction from performance and focus. Potential drop in performance Players feeling personally attacked or unsupported Long-term effects like burnout or disengagement Supportive fandom tends to correlate with better morale and outcomes. Just something to think about.

I don’t usually Post things like this but I’ve been doing some reading & felt like sharing this. I’m not judging anyone just sharing this research-based list of what tends to happen to a team's morale when fans criticize their coach,

@CoachJayWright @TCNJMBB Would Coach listen to a job offer or two? His mentor, Coach Mass, followed a similar path, coaching sub-D1 hoops at Northwood up until his passing. Hopefully NCAA D1 can eventually recapture some of what made it great, and draw some of its great coaches back in.
