I was born and raised in China and lived there for over 20 years. China is a communist totalitarian state under the absolute control of one man — first Mao Zedong, then Deng Xiaoping and his successors, and now Xi Jinping. There is no real freedom — not in speech, not in thought, not in daily life. The majority of Chinese people support the government because they have been fed a nonstop diet of lies and propaganda since the age of three. They defend the CCP with absolute certainty, never questioning, never challenging — they simply swallow the official narrative and memorize it. That is why China produces so few genuine inventions of its own and instead relies on stealing technology from the United States and the West. Under this system, ordinary Chinese people have neither the freedom nor the ability to think independently. Everything glamorous you see about China — the glittering cities, the high-speed trains, the perfectly staged spectacles — is carefully fabricated propaganda for foreign consumption. Behind that facade lies the real China: the everyday lives of ordinary people, especially those in the countryside and villages, which most Westerners cannot even begin to imagine. The poverty, the surveillance, the fear, the grinding control — that is the truth the CCP desperately hides from the world. This is not exaggeration. This is lived experience. The Western world needs to stop believing the China regime’s lies. China is the biggest external enemy to the West. China sends spies to the West to corrupt your politicians such as Democratic Party and Labor Party and to cause turmoils and chaos from within.

@VeritasMantis @magataotao @GrwaNnKqMn5nG68 I've spent enough time in China to see that, away from glittery skyscrapers, the country is dirty and poor. I've stayed in rural areas where farmers have to gather sticks to heat their woks, and they say their lives are 很苦.

@magataotao @GrwaNnKqMn5nG68 You are lying. Some of us has been there. Some of us have friends who are from there. And we know the truth. Your average Chinese is better often than your average American by far. China is run better, people are happier, and it is much safer than America.

A common analogy is that self-defense is like swimming: You might need it one day, so learn it. But the analogy doesn’t hold. You can almost always avoid water. You cannot avoid someone deciding to attack you. 1/3

The downfall of the American Empire in Europe won't happen on its own. Europeans need to rise up and throw them out - starting with all the Atlanticists currently dominating European institutions. Next, start shutting down all American military bases. History books about WW1 and WW2 need to be rewritten to accurately show how the United States didn't "save" Europe from those wars. On the contrary - America put its thumb on the scale in both cases to make the wars even longer and bloodier, to deliberately destroy Europe.
realhansard@realhansard

Pax Americana is over. The consequence of Trump 2 will be the divorce of the US from its traditional allies in Europe, Asia and Australasia. Oh and Canada too. A different era is upon us, where America will be primarily preoccupied with Western hemisphere considerations.

@JohnRuddick2 Just do a drill deal with the US, Argentina and Chile. International rules are pretty much over now. Other countries will have strong words, but I think they won't be able to do anything tangible. Just look at France and the submarines.

AUSTRALIA IS THE SUPERPOWER OF ANTARCTICA (and it has oil) Antarctica is administered by seven nations: 🇦🇺 Australia – 42% 🇳🇴 Norway – 19.3% 🇬🇧UK – 12.2% 🇦🇷 Argentina – 10.4% 🇨🇱 Chile – 8.9% 🇳🇿 New Zealand – 3.2% 🇫🇷 France – 2.5% (Doesn't add up to 100% because of (a) unclaimed territory and (b) overlapping claims). Australia should show leadership and stop ignoring Antarctica's potential. From around 260 million years ago until the present Ice Age hit around 35 million years ago, Antarctica was covered in lush forests (similar to New Zealand today). All the ingredients are in place for lots of fossil fuels. No commercial oil and gas drilling has however ever been conducted in Antarctica. In 1991 the US Geological Survey estimated Antarctica likely holds 19 billion barrels of oil and over 106 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Given the massive leaps in extraction efficiency since 1991 these estimates are likely to be under-estimates. The Madrid Protocol (signed 1991, in force 1998) banned mineral exploration in Antarctica (we wanted to keep it pristine so the penguins view won't be impaired). The ban is indefinite but can be lifted. Repealing the ban needs the unanimous consent of the 29 nations that make up the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Parties. The ban was stupid when it kicked in … but on the bright side, we were putting it aside for a rainy day ie now. Given Australia's dominance in Antarctica, we should take the lead and campaign to lift the ban pronto and explore for energy in our own neighbourhood on a sterile and otherwise empty useless ice block. 1991 USGS report 👉 pubs.usgs.gov/of/1991/0597/r…

It's obvious that much of the Indian-born population wants to create their own separate cultural enclaves. Indian immigrants are obviously aiming to impose their culture and identity on Australian society. It follows that nationalists will eventually need to create a remigration plan that encourages the large Indian diaspora to return to their homeland. noticer.news/victoria-schoo…
