@catastropart I'm not 100% sure about this, but it feels like if the saving/recovery get interrupted somehow it corrupts the file.
I suggest manually saving every once in a while (if you weren't already). Or making two separate files? That might be too much of a hassle tho.

does anybody know why clip studio format files crash and are unrecoverable unless you have a backup in clipstudiodata folder?
like, this is my second pc i use clip studio on and this keeps happening. I think it usually happens when i reopen the program or restart the pc
