@famsylordelizy @NeroSgoleon @Shinigami216426 The main villain is of the Naruto is undoubtedly Orochimaru, everyone else is side villain The official dub is wrong then dude Yes possible and in the episode he was talking about and shown to be getting slower way before Naruto went berserk

@LordFaraam @NeroSgoleon @Shinigami216426 Literally the first main villain are zabuza and haku My reading comprehension? Lol That the official dub btw, also in the databook it says that jutsu makes it possible for haku to move at light speed btwn mirrors, meaning full speed haku was light speed btwn mirrors, next lol

@famsylordelizy @NeroSgoleon @Shinigami216426 You don’t know what a main villain is. Writer by Kishimoto doesn’t mean much when it’s contradictory, wrong, over the top information. Also your reading comprehension is shit, the data books said he can reach that speed and that dub doesn’t align with the manga/sub.

@famsylordelizy @NeroSgoleon @Shinigami216426 “First villain”, Mizuki can go light speed? Seriously though, how the fuck don’t you remember/too lazy to look up Haku? The manga never said he could go light speed only the databook(shit book) which mentioned he CAN go that fast. Which in the fight he was constantly slowing down

@LordFaraam @Shinigami216426 Naruto/Boruto has multiple light speed statements and a couple of light speed feats, so they can be light speed and above just fine

@Wokenessisevil Honestly I'm kind of okay with *some* of it. Overly detailed designs work great in comics, but not so much when you have to animate it

@TopherStoll @SockTalking You’re so right. This thing like our modern chicken also has no feathers, four legs, no head(beak & gizzard), and is just a stationary meat pile. Do you actually listen to yourself or is your head so far up your own ass it drowns out though?

Why does this inspire such disgust and conflict in us? It's hard to argue that this solution isn't better. Better a brainless sack of protein than a living creature capable of pain, longing to see the sky but forced to live in hideous lifelong bondage. So why does the Harvest Hen or the Domesticated Meat Pig feel worse? I think it's because it makes the instrumentalization visible. We already treat living creatures as production units, but this takes it "too far"... it stops pretending otherwise. An organism that has been openly, unapologetically designed as a object. And for some people, in some ways, something about that honesty is harder to look at than the cruelty we've already normalized. Original brainless meat pig "bodyoid" art by @Coolio_Art made me want to make my own.

the ultimate solution is through technology we engineer what has been called a bodyoid: brainless animal bodies that provide as much meat as we desire without harming any sentient beings this would transform medicine - the same platform would allow us to grow organs on demand, eliminate transplant waiting lists, and produce perfectly matched tissues for each patient experimental therapies could be tested on full biological systems without involving conscious animals, regenerative medicine would accelerate as entire replacement tissues become manufacturable in the same way that agriculture turned food from a scarce resource into an abundant one, engineered bodyoids would turn biological material into infrastructure - meat without slaughter, organs without donors, and medical research without sentient suffering

@TopherStoll @SockTalking “at what point on the spectrum between prehistoric bird hunting, 1940s farmyard chickens, modern mass factory farming, and this... did it become disgusting?”, the part when it no longer was a chicken

Disgust is part of the point, it's worth examining WHY we feel that. I'd actually push back on the idea that conventional farming preserves any "natural order." A modern broiler chicken reaches slaughter weight in six weeks, triple the rate of chickens from the 1950s. They frequently can't walk under their own weight. Their bones fracture from growing too fast. We've already exited the food chain; we're light-years away from the "necessary aspects of survival" we just did it slowly enough that it doesn't look like science fiction. The Harvest Hen™ is deliberately grotesque because it's meant to make that process visible. It's asking a question. If your reaction is "this is disgusting," I'd ask: at what point on the spectrum between prehistoric bird hunting, 1940s farmyard chickens, modern mass factory farming, and this... did it become disgusting?
