@CrossCountryUK @sophiebradnack Just want to clarify:- in your reply you state ‘a seat is never guaranteed’. But I cannot buy an Advance ticket WITHOUT a seat reservation. So force me to buy ticket with seat but now say I may not get seat I paid for as part of legal requirement to me getting a cheaper seat?

@sophiebradnack Sorry to hear that you are stood onboard one of our services. Unfortunately a seat is never guaranteed on any train service. The price of the ticket is the same with or without a seat reservation. JM

can @CrossCountryUK please explain to me why I am stood on a train? because I have paid for my ticket, and still firmly believe I should be allocated a seat at purchase. For reference I am stood on the 12:18 Tamworth to Sheffield (end point of the service being Edinburgh).

Any chance of NOT having to negotiate 4 sets of roadworks to get to and from work each day? Maybe, like, er, neighbouring council planning teams ACTUALLY TALK TO EACH OTHER to prevent us poor commuters having to spend up to 4 hours travelling EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Major roadworks on the A7 by the Sun Inn with a 4-way temporary traffic light set up; Another set of temporary traffic lights at Moredunvale Road by Aldi; Still waiting for the work heading to Eskbank Roundabout to re-commence after the winter break-no date for that yet!

So, between @Edinburgh_CC and @midgov the @on_lothianbuses 29 route from Gorebridge is the stuff of nightmares. Half of Gorebridge closed off due to roadworks on Powdermill Brae - route diverted; The diversion has temporary traffic lights on Whitehouse Road;

Sweet Jesus! Sat on @on_lothianbuses X29 and the driver is literally being taught how to drive a bus by an orange bibbed instructor. Might get to Princes Street by 10:00 at this rate. I know drivers need to learn but don’t do it on the express commuter routes!

Hey @ScotRail - nice to remove the peak rate costs but how about not treating us like cattle heading to slaughter. Usual carnage on 1720 Edinburgh to Tweedbank with around 60 people standing and all seats taken. A single extra carriage won’t kill you!! Happens every night. Why?
